On newer version of PIAF or on Incredible PBX I have the option to "record immediately" the outbound routes.

However I do not have that in the version below, therefore I am only able to record inbound calls.

How can I record outbound calls immediately with the configuration below?

x x
x PIAF Installed Version = 2.0.6.4 under *VMWARE* x
x FreePBX Version = 2.10.1.19 x
x 2.10 x
x Running Asterisk Version = 1.8.23.0 x
x Asterisk Source Version = 1.8.23.0 x
x Dahdi Source Version = 2.7.0 x
x Libpri Source Version = 1.4.12 x
x Kernel Version = 2.6.32-358.6.2.el6.i686 - 32 Bit

( I am trying to upgrade this box at all cost)

Albert S I'm pretty sure the issue is this: FreePBX Version = 2.10.1.19

If you read here http://wiki.freepbx.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=4161655

Call Recording was in General Settings for 2.10 but was moved elsewhere in 2.11

if you look at Github on branch 2.10 https://github.com/FreePBX/callrecording/blob/release/2.10/page.callrecording.php

record immediately option is there, but it moves slightly in branch 2.11 see https://github.com/FreePBX/callrecording/blob/release/2.11/page.callrecording.php

I see you have also posted here: http://pbxinaflash.com/community/index.php?threads/external-call-recording-not-recording.16741/ could you confirm the call recording module version, as the last released version for 2.10 is https://github.com/FreePBX/callrecording/releases/tag/release/2.10.0.3 from the 4th February 2014,

FreePBX 2.10 is only receiving security bugfixes, if you can I would upgrade to FreePBX 2.11

Alternatively you may also run into this bug unless you are willing to upgrade to Asterisk 13: http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Call+Recording+walk+through

Code:
Important Warning! When a call recording is started by an outbound route, it is not possible for the recording service to bind to the call, and can only bind to the extension that started the recording (This is a limitation of Asterisk, and is resolved in Asterisk 13). This means that if you transfer the call, the recording will stop. Make sure that you transfer the call to a destination that has call recording set to Yes or Force, to re-establish the recording.

Leave Asterisk alone. Just upgrade FreePBX in place using their update module
