Being from the Chicago area, it seems like we always have wind. Anyway, the word "wind" rhymes with "dined" when pronounced by the nv-weather scripts. I looked at the code and found a bunch of substitutions to smooth out these reports [fair in height] and would suggest substituting the word "winned" for wind.

The National Weather Service changed their lingo. They used to say "windy" (which we fixed). Now they say "wind."

It's an easy fix if you'd like to do it yourself. This fix will handle pronunciation of both wind and windy...

cd /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin
sed -i 's|windy|wind|' nv-weather.php
sed -i 's|wendy|wend|' nv-weather.php
sed -i 's|windy|wind|' nv-weather-zip.php
sed -i 's|wendy|wend|' nv-weather-zip.php
sed -i 's|windy|wind|' nv-weather-world.php
sed -i 's|wendy|wend|' nv-weather-world.php
