Either something got munged or I just don't have it set right.
The "Instruction Manual" says to edit the sendmail.cf file and add my ISP's SMTP server after the "DS". (The sendmail.cf file incidentally warns to not edit it directly!) Well, that aint working.
You have new mail in /var/mail/root:

Guidance on this one appreciated.
I am not clear how sendmail is working, if exim is somehow involved, or what conf files make a diff. Last time I got this working on PIAF 1.7xx I did a "paint by numbers" instruction follow to get GMAIL to do some sort of Userauth relay thing. That would good to do again - IF that works on this Incredible Pi2 distro???
But I just don't know....
Thanks,
J
UPDATE:
Gave up trying to use smtp from my ISP for sendmail and the SmartHost setting. Followed the following instructions and with a couple of kicks it now works via GMAIL as relay. Had to log into GMAIL and "allow less secure devices" though.
