Guys,

Our company has two office, Head Office (HO) and Site Office (SO). Our network is connected thorugh domestic leased line (point-to-point). One Elastix 2.4 is located and functional in HO. And, we would like to establish another Elastix server, which is version 2.5 in our Site Office, to facilitate extension to extension and extension to outgoing call purpose.

I able to setup IAX2 between servers and I guess it is working OK cause whenever I "iax2 show peers", I able to see it is connected.

I successfully register extensions on two different server, but when I dial extension to another server I failed and it looks like busy mode. But if extension to extension within the same server is ok. I ticked the intra-company route as well during my config.

Sets of extension are the following;
Head Office - 2XX, 3XX, 4XX, 5XX, 6xx, 7xx, 8XX, 9XX
Site Office - 1XX

Apreciate any response. Thanks.

Chris

Yes it is.
BTW, Head office has 555X extensions and Site office 888X extensions.
This error came from Site office calling Head office.
I always get this error;

Hungup 'IAX2/Makati-17258'
== Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
-- Executing [s@macro-dialout-trunk:23] NoOp("SIP/5551-00000010", "Dial failed for some reason with DIALSTATUS = CHANUNAVAIL and HANGUPCAUSE = 50") in new stack

Thanks for the reply.

I have a customer with a main office and 4 remote offices.
This past weekend I added a 5th office.
The IAX2 trunks showed ok on both sites, but I was getting the same message.
Turned out to be a typo in the trunk configuration!

I have tried many combinations of the trunks and it always appear connected (iax2 show peers).
While the error is just the same.
As of the moment here it is what I'm using, would you identify the incorrect? Thanks much!

Can you give me idea how the offices handle the incoming calls from PSTN or similar, then looking for the extension in the other office? Appreciate response.

Each office has their own DIDs and answer their own calls. The IAX2 trunks are used mostly for office to office extension dialing.
They only route calls to other offices when closing early, then calls are routed to the office of their choice via call flow control and ring groups.
