Hi!
Just wanted to give my impressions on setting up a TWC SIP Trunk over Docsis.
1.) They provide a separate cable modem and a sbc. You then have to hook up the sbc to your VoIP lan, or to an interface on the PBX. They recommend using an interface on the PBX.
2.) They sent over this pdf with instructions on how to setup your TWC business voice account. During the setup, this was not necessary.
3.) These are the trunk settings I needed to get the Trunk up and running. Had to ask their support for some of them, and figured the rest out with trial and error.
type=peer
dtmf=rfc2833
host=x.x.x.x
insecure=very
qualify=yes
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
4.) They send 10 digits.
5.) It was one of the easiest telco sip trunks I've setup. Call quality is great. And the cutover engineer that was assigned was great. Had everything up and running in under 10min.
