Hello:

Is there a way to install Travelin Man 4 on non-Raspberry PBX's?

The tutorial only shows this for the install steps:
Code:
cd /root
mkdir tm4
cd tm4
wget http://incrediblepbx.com/tm4.tgz
tar zxvf tm4.tgz
mysql -uroot -ppassw0rd < tm4-accounts.sql
mysql -uroot -praspberry < tm4-accounts.sql
sed -i '/\[from-internal-custom\]/r 'tm4-864'' /etc/asterisk/extensions_custom.conf
cat tm4-func >> /etc/asterisk/func_odbc.conf
mkdir /etc/asterisk/tm4
chown asterisk:asterisk /etc/asterisk/tm4
cp tm4-update /root/.
cd /root
/root/odbc-gen.sh

Thank you,

Thanks Ward, but I may have a problem...
On this PBX:
Incredible PBX 11.17.1 for Ubuntu 14
Asterisk: UP Apache: UP MySQL: UP
SendMail: DN IPtables: UP SSH: UP
LAN eth0: UP Fail2Ban: UP Webmin: UP
RAM:553804 "Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS" Disk: 30G
Asterisk 11.19.0 FreePBX 2.11.0.35
Private IP: 104.n.n.n
Public IP: 104.n.n.n
I have the /root/tm4 directory & files and I see the TravMan4 database but "Accounts" is empty.

When I dial 222 and enter 12345, "Uncle Ward" is not at home!

Do I need to re-install Travelin' Man 4, and if so, where do I get it from?

Thanks

Have you read the TM4 tutorial? Your question suggests the answer is probably not.

I'd be delighted to read it - where is it? :)

Googleing "piaf travelin man 4" returned: //pbxinaflash.com/community/resources/travelin-man-4.41/ but is seems to be for raspberry's.

Of course I read the article - it was the subject of my original post. Perhaps it is just poorly written?
The article seems to be talking about raspberry's...

Then it says:

Verifying Functioning Prerequisites:
1. iptables -nL (shows a WhiteList is operational with legit IP addresses)
2. Dial 222 and enter 12345 and verify "Uncle Ward" response (shows ODBC works)
DO NOT PROCEED WITH INSTALL UNTIL BOTH PLATFORM & SOFTWARE PREREQUISITES ARE WORKING!!!

Well, my PBX fails # 2 above, so I posted.

Time passed, so I went ahead any way. I used "add-account" to add an account but when I dial in, after I enter my account (87654321) and pin (12121), I hear you saying: "No matching entry on file, good-bye" :)

If I look at the Travelin Man 4 data base, the account 87654321 is there, with a pin of 12121.

Now what?

You're probably right about poorly written, but it was also put together almost 2 years ago. You're quoting from the section on Installing TM4. As I have said, TM4 was already installed in ALL current Incredible PBX builds. If you did it again, it probably broke something in the ODBC setup.

Yep, I guess I screwed it up because when I browse to my server's IP address, I get this:
FATAL ERROR

DB Error: connect failed

Trace Back
/var/www/html/admin/libraries/db_connect.php:71 die_freepbx()
[0]: DB Error: connect failed

/var/www/html/admin/bootstrap.php:85 require_once()
[0]: /var/www/html/admin/libraries/db_connect.php

/etc/freepbx.conf:9 require_once()
[0]: /var/www/html/admin/bootstrap.php

/var/www/html/admin/config.php:99 include_once()
[0]: /etc/freepbx.conf

Funnily enough, people are still using the PBX successfully but I can't 'browse' in. I can still ssh in. When I do, I see the mysql is 'DN'.

I guess I'll install a backup after everyone goes to bed tonight. :)
