Found answer what I need to run at command line is just "./admin-pw-change" and it will ask you for the new password.

GOOD NEWS

We just completed testing of all the new Incredible PBX GUI builds on RentPBX. All passed with flying colors and should be available shortly.

Coupon code NOGOTCHAS still gets you a $15/mo. platform!

Wow - can it really be that easy?
Raised support ticket with Rentpbx to change to testbox to Incredible PBX GUI.....couple of hours later...
Logged in, left it to build, set the password and there it is .... a gotcha free pbx !
Amazing.

Oh - and thank you all :)

Late breaking bug... you may need to run yum install sox on the CentOS platform.*

* Looks like we already took care of it everywhere except in the VirtualBox build. :Angel anim:

install fails on DietPi,

if anyone is curious what DietPi is, think Raspbian with a GUI in the cli to install certain packages so your Pi can be a webserver, or a torrent server, or a kodi (xbmc) interface, or a games emulator.

the changelog for DietPi is here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourdee/DietPi/master/CHANGELOG.txt

I'm going to open a new thread to document why this does not work, save me cluttering this one

Wow, initially I was reluctant to install the latest version with the Incredible PBX GUI as I was afraid of a steep learning curve (again) after seeing all the Asterisk GUI and scripting examples.
I could not have been more wrong! Thank you so much I am again very impressed with your approach. This GUI feels the same as Freepbx, so anyone out there who doubts...dont.

I installed 11-12.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 at DigitalOcean (another first).
I could not run the following commands so I must have missed something:

Code:
/root/mail-setup
-bash: /root/mail-setup: No such file or directory

cd /root
cat passwords.FAQ
cat: passwords.FAQ: No such file or directory

I want to personalise the from:address in emails sent containing the voicemails.
Can you tell me where I can do this?

centos 7.1 seems to break iptables, leaving your server open after a reboot

how can I update from the original IncrediblePBX on RasPi to the new stuff?
without a full reinstall?

Even if this were possible in theory (and I'm not sure it is), it would be virtually impossible on the RasPi platform because of memory and disk space constraints. The odds of ending up with a non-functional system are just too great. Sorry.

The easy method would be to bring up a second RasPi with the new build and then cut-and-paste between the two platforms.

Is there some way to get the config out of the current setup and then re-apply it to the new?

Not really. FreePBX includes literally hundreds of MySQL tables and config files. Some contain data. Others contain settings for various functions. There's no way to separate the two.

okie -- sounds like I'll have some work(tm) to do this weekend(or later in the week) to map out what I have, and transplant it to the new stuff.
