New script added that let's you pull modules directly from GitHub and assimilate into your own repository. It's part of the GPL-repo download.

I think we're ready for some pioneers on the Ubuntu 14 platform.

We currently only have the installer finished for Asterisk 11, Incredible GUI 12, Ubuntu 14. Don't use the minimal install for Ubuntu on hosted platforms!

Press ENTER at all prompts to accept defaults. Also press ENTER if/when install gets stuck in SendMail section of install especially. We'll clean this up eventually.

Code:
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y && reboot
# if you get errors above, run the commands again until errors go away
wget http://incrediblepbx.com/incrediblepbx11-12.0-ubuntu14.tar.gz
tar zxvf incredible*
# on Digital Ocean platform or others with no cache, run: free (to check if you have a cache file), uncomment next line
#./create-swapfile-DO
./Inc*
/root/admin-pw-change

Let us know if it smokes.:sifone:

Good job Ward, et al
Just installed incrediblepbx11-11.0.centos & incrediblepbx11-12.0.centos in Proxmox VM's.
It was a breeze.
I will be cutting over from the PIAF3 install that I did several weeks ago and testing.

Installed the Ubuntu version tonight on my Foxconn box. It went smoothly. No need for extra returns. Need to test sendmail in the morning. Baisic stuff is working.

krzykat: This repo only has modules compatible with 2.11 and 12 GUI releases, no Linux stuff. I think joe already is in the PIAF repo.

Joe is in the piaf3 (soon 4) repo. We are in the midst of recompiling ALL of the rpms in our repo to put the piaf4 moniker on them. This should take care of the Centos 6.X crowd )and variants) and then eventually we will have rpms just for Centos 7 (and variants)

Keeping the incredible gui stuff separate makes absolute sense to us.

Ward, one thing I have noticed with DO is that it will not change to a new kernel automatically even if one is installed through a yum upgrade. I've always manually changed it in the control panel, but not sure if that's worth mentioning in the NV instructions. I mention that specifically because you note that CentOS 6.5/6.6 users need to run those few extra lines that update it.

With the exception of having an alternative path and the freedom to use a different OS ... would there be any reason why someone that has been using Centos with PIAF forever would want to use Ubuntu?

Incredible PBX + Incredible GUI for the Raspberry Pi 2

UPDATE: Complete tutorial now available on Nerd Vittles

Rather than delay the rollout any longer, we're putting up the initial build for the Raspberry Pi 2 platform. Be advised that Incredible Fax DOES NOT WORK even though we have included the work-in-progress script. Not sure where the problem lies at this point. Hopefully, Josh North will take a look. The rest of the build seems to be sufficiently stable for pioneers.

CGwOlFeWoAAavpG.jpg

GETTING STARTED
  1. Create a bootable microSD card (at least 8GB) with the latest Raspbian (wheezy) build from here. Image installation guides are here.
  2. Boot the Raspberry Pi 2 with your new microSD card and login as pi with password: raspberry
  3. Make these setup changes: (1) expand image to fill SD card, (2) in advanced, enable remote SSH login, (3) record IP address from ifconfig, (4) reboot
  4. From a desktop computer*, login again as pi with password: raspberry
  5. Change your root password: sudo passwd root
  6. Log out and back in again as root
  7. Issue the following commands:
Code:
apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade -y && reboot
wget http://incrediblepbx.com/incrediblepbx11-12.1.raspbian.tar.gz
tar zxvf incredible*
./Incredible*
reboot

* Access from a desktop computer is VERY important because Incredible PBX creates an IPtables Firewall WhiteList and includes this IP address. If you perform the install solely from the console, you will NOT be able to login from a desktop machine without first running /root/add-ip from the console unless your computer is on the same private LAN as the RasPi.

Until the kinks are out of these new builds, we do NOT plan to patch problems using the Automatic Update Utility. You will need to revisit the BUGS thread to add the fixes manually.

The Raspberry Pi build includes a new gui-fix script which should fix most quirks in the GUI. If things don't look right, log into the Linux CLI as root and run: gui-fix

We have standardized ALL Incredible PBX builds so that all including this new build for the Raspberry Pi 2 now use the same default passwords for MySQL and everything else.

Do NOT change any passwords except your root, GUI admin, and AvantFax admin passwords. All the rest are protected by multiple layers of security including the IPtables firewall and Asterisk manager.conf.
