Get a Roomba. Its less complicated than a script.

Our Roomba needs a patch. It'll clean under a chair for an hour and leave hairballs all over the rest of the room.

I'm just getting ready to crank up my robot lawnmower for the first mow of the season. No patches required and no grass standing. When people stop and stare, I say, "Well we are in the 21st Century!".
