Will we be able to back up from a current system running 12.0.70 and restore to this?

EDIT: I should mention that I would be willing to give it a go and see what happens.

Major plumbing changes. Not sure that's possible without using Sangoma's proprietary repos which we'd like to avoid.

OK was just curious. I've only ever used the modules that came with Incredible, never added any of the others.

Hi Ward...Thanks....We've been playing with Asterisk 14/FP 14 any chances you're going to look at that? We happen to like their responsive firewall.

Skipping Asterisk 14 now that 15 is out since 15 is an LTS release. Once we move to 15, we'll look at FreePBX 14.

I have moved quite a few debian wheezy based fbx 12 to jessie "in place"

amportal a ma download versionupgrade

amportal a ma install versionupgrade

in the gui, the module should no now be available, follow it until it errors, copy the suggested fix and do that in bash

back to the gui and tidyup/apply.

you can then

sed -i 's/wheezy/jessie/g' /etc/apt/*

apt-get update -y&&apt-get -y upgrade&&apt-get -y dist-upgrade (but of course be cognizant of which changes you accept/deny as they run)

a reboot and check your work, no real issues as yet but also no commercial modules (except the versionupgrade itself claims it in gui, not so much in the code)

You can then happily install asterisk 14, but asterisk 15 is still IMHO a step too far.

Any chance that this will include any of the aforementioned multi-tenant poll?

Understand that 13 was LTS and 14 was not. But 15 is supposed to be LTS if they follow the "every other release" guidance that they've previously issued.

Nope

http://www.asterisk.org/downloads/asterisk/all-asterisk-versions

Release Series Support Type Release Frequency

Asterisk 15 Standard 6 - 8 Weeks

Asterisk 14 Standard 6 - 8 Weeks

Certified Asterisk 13 LTS 2 - 4 times per year

Asterisk 13 LTS 6 - 8 Weeks

Certified Asterisk 11 LTS 2 - 4 times per year

Asterisk 11 LTS 6 - 8 Weeks

I stand corrected, but... Digium did shift gears (again). You will note the release pattern of Standard - LTS goes all the way back to Asterisk 1.4... until Asterisk 15:
