In your tutorials you have the following warning:

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]WARNING: If you cut and paste code from these articles and the code contains quotation marks (such as below), be sure to replace the WordPress-inserted, front and back quotes with normal quotation marks, or you’ll send Asterisk into the ozone

[FONT=&quot]So I (or whoever else is confused) understands this, which of the following is the right quotation mark:

1. [/FONT][FONT=&quot]“ ”
2. [/FONT][FONT=&quot]" "

Patch Fixed Quotation Mark Problem

There finally was a patch for WordPress that fixed the problem with fancy quotes by converting them to the plain-old quote (shift+apostrophe). I think I have fixed most of the older Nerd Vittles articles so this is no longer a problem. If you cut-and-paste code and it blows up when you run it, chances are it is a fancy quotes problem. :D
