I have been working in my 16-15 system and had it working nicely including SRTP/TLS with Linphone Android.

I followed the instructions here http://nerdvittles.com/?p=30297 to make it public facing.

I reconfigured my test phone to connect to the subdomain instead of the IP address but now it won't register.

asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvvv
shows:

[2019-11-20 10:45:49] NOTICE[3821]: chan_sip.c:28935 handle_request_register: Registration from 'sip:[email protected]' failed for 'xx.xx.xx.xx:55126' - Not a local domain

where xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP address of my phone.

[I think the issue is on the PBX side, but for the record I am using Linphone android with these settings:
Username: 31
Domain: randomstuff.redacteddomain.com
Proxy: <sip:randomstuff.redacteddomain.com:5061;transport=tls>]

Any advice much appreciated!

Do you have:
Code:
domain=randomstuff.redacteddomain.com
in SIP Settings?

Wahoo, thank you!!

@wardmundy - I'm not sure why that didn't get populated when I ran the script. I did save the output and can send it to you if it would be helpful.

Thanks again!

I'm having the same issue. Can you tell me what and where you had to add that code?
Thanks!

It's done through the UI.

Go to: Settings, Asterisk SIP Settings, SIP Legacy Settings [chan_sip]

Scroll to the bottom of the page and find Other SIP Settings.

Click Add Field.

Domain = yourdomain.com

That worked great, I only had to reboot the server after to make it work. Thanks for the response!
