Is it possible to provision older polycom phones ( 301's and 430's ) without dhcp option 66 ?
I am running the latest debian iso of the software.

Yes, you can choose http(s) ftp(s) or t*f*t*p from the Phones inbuilt web server, the default is t*f*t*p so to boot-strap to another protocol, you WILL need to use Option 66 (t*f*t*p) to set the new protocol and source of the provisioning files. Then they will then reboot and use that method until you factory default them. All this is well covered at community.ploycom.com

Just out of curiosity, why does everyone write the protocol name like that on these forums? Is there a filter that blocks the normal writing of the protocol?
