AS a DAEMON no-go, Interactive seems to work.

knockd appears to be running as log shows:

"starting up, listening on eth0"

But issuing knocks results in no access and no "OPEN SESAME" in the log.

But.... if I launch in Interactive mode:

knockd -D -v

it works.

What gives?

BTW @wardmundy the log shows entries going back to Feb 27th, 2016 with only start up and shutting downs. No knocks (during the testing of the build).

Timing is everything with PortKnocker. Probably a little different on the RasPi platform. Try adjusting the delay between knocks on your client until it works.

Not sure what is different now other than I added a -v option to KNOCKD_OPTS in /etc/default/knockd then stopped and restarted the service. It then worked without a timing change on the Android client. Maybe added the -v just slows it down a hair??

After a reboot it restarted OK and Portknocker seems to still be working OK (and it was definitely not working before)
