Ok,
Right in the middle of a 10 extension rollout of these things. Thoughts so far, very impressed. The Web Gui is simple & easy to navigate, the 'feel' of the phone is on par with Polycom & Snom's, and the call quality is excellent. The display is easy to read and, once I got some doc's from the local distributor, it was relatively easy to auto provision via tftpboot.
I used the new Freepbx endpoint manager for that, just modified the script a bit to suit. It only uses two config files, the main one (containing all the common stuff), and the mac specific one which only contains the extension details.
It does BLF out of the box, and you can provide a company wide XML phone directory using the Asterisk Stickies add on (again, modified slightly to suit).
What doesn't work yet (more cause I haven't worked out how). You can upload an idle icon to the phone (client's love seeing there logo on the phone!), at present I need to manually do this as I'm not sure how to do this via the config file. Same with the phone directory, I know it can be done, I just haven't worked it out yet. Minor issues.
Client moves into the office next week, 15th floor with the Sydney Harbour Bridge on one side, the Opera House on the other and Sydney Harbour in between, tough but someone's got to do it
I'll let you know how it goes.
