I realize this is really off topic, but ...
I have a working PBX (Green) in my basement which runs the business and home phones. I use a Digium card with hardware EC, so installation is a bit tricky (card is EOL per Digium, so new Dahdi won't support it).
The basement machine runs some variant of a multi core AMD chip. I'm looking at buying a cheap PC off craigslist with an Intel Core2 Quad to use as a scratch machine so that I don't have to bring the PBX down for a day(s) while I get the install correct.
Assuming I put 16-15 on the Intel machine and run a Clonezilla on it, will I be able to restore to the AMD machine and have it update itself correctly, or will it just puke all over itself?
Alternatively, I could keep the Intel running post install.
