Hi,

I got a system that has been having power failures from the grid and line stuck from the telco. Each time I restart amportal and dahdi everything get working again.

So, I trying to find a way to have a one button in the GUI to execute "amportal stop, service dahdi restart, amportal start".

Anyone have something setup like that ?

Thanks

You could go to Tools>Asterisk CLI and do a "stop now", but that wouldn't restart it. What is the issue with simply SSHing into the box?

Hi Ross,

I want an easy way for a client be able to restart the services after a server reboot (due to power outage). Since I'm in another province, I want the client be able to restore service without the need to contact me unless really urgent.

SSH is fine for me, but for the client something simpler the better.

**Note: during the system boot up it seems that amportal is loading before the dahdi service. Anyway to start dahdi before the amportal in the boot sequence ? That would resolve my issue with the client.

Rick,

I had a similar need. But in my case the customer wanted to be able to shutdown the server and let an older Comdial system handle calls and them bring the system back online at a latter time. (A case of the customer is always right).

I put the plink software on his desktop and wrote a traditional DOS batch file that used plink to run commands / scripts on the server. One Click on the Icon/File and a password prompt and the customer was happy.
