You're incredibly generous. Thank you, but...

Here's our dilemma. We have dozens of domains running dozens of different apps of varying complexity. Most of it is managed in cPanel and WHM. Our provider is extremely generous in their pricing and support. They make nightly backups for us between Dallas and New York. They keep the server current and secure... no small feat. Yes, we could do all of that but the issue is resources. For $1,000 a year (which we usually manage to raise from our users), we get about half of a mega-server. Frankly, it just isn't worth the headache to you or to us to save the $1,000.

Having said all of that, WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR OFFER!!!

Not a problem! However, if you ever want to reconsider feel free to let me know...its a standing offer. Since your running WHM/cPanel already it will make the migration process fairly simple (The only thing besides backing up/restoring the WHM/cPanel information would be updating the name server info).

As stated multiple times in other threads it is NOT a xenforo issue. Not at all. Don't go bug them about it as there is nothing they can do.

It's because the server (this server hosting these forums) has a security modification built into php that blocks certain keywords.

It seems all other forums have considerably less problems with mod_security.
If that is what you are referring to.

Yeah. It came back. Our provider loves to improve things. Seems to be a shorter list this time around. They are anal about security... which sometimes is a good thing. Wish they had been as diligent about backups (which we now do ourselves).

It does look shorter. :) sftp works :)

Ironically ... the thread we used to track the words that don't work ... WAS lost in the "not backing up debacle".

From what I understand, whitelisting the offending words in the triggered mod_security rules would solve the problem.
But I suspect a bigger problem is ... the PIAF host won't allow pbxinaflash.com to have a custom mod_security ?

That is what I am referring too and as Ward pretty much mentioned, unless you are on this specific host....

I am not simply pulling this out of my butt. I went through this deeply with Ward and Tom back in the day, we looked at requests. It's not opinion. It's fact.

:)

And this host does not allow whitelisting. We talked about that as well.

It seems all other forums have considerably less problems with mod_security.
If that is what you are referring to.
