Hi,
I used to have version 5.0.0.21 for the old Mitel dual mode SIP 5224 and 5235 endpoints, which is an important stepping stone for flashing to later revisions.
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of it, please? I have tried the unofficial Mitel forums but they don't seem to be very active now.
Thank you

I just use a drop box or google drive for these sorts of things.

I just looked it up and google allows files of that size. If you have issues, Andy could email it to me and I could provide a share.

Hi,
I have it now - it was in my spam folder for some reason. I now have a new issue with t*f*t*p served configs to figure out.

Thanks very much

A few weeks ago I bought a BNIB (brand new in the box) Mitel 5235 phone, intending to get it to work as a SIP phone with my FreePBX 15 server, as I know others have done. The phone sat on the shelf until yesterday when I tried, unsuccessfully, to get it to download firmware from my t*f*t*p server. I'm thinking that the firmware on the 5235 is very old, maybe too old.

Aside: Note that I have a Mitel 5330e, and have downloaded the 8.0.0.4 firmware using t*f*t*p, brought up the Web Configuration Tool using the IP phone's IP address, and the 5330e has registered with FreePBX. So I'm relatively familiar with booting Mitel phones, and configuring DHCP options for Mitel IP phones on my pfSense firewall. Here is ta link to a description of the procedure I used:

On the 5235, when I view version info, here is what I see:
Main Load Version: 00.00.00.00 [Yes, all zeroes]
Boot Load Version: 01.00.00.41
L2Boot Load Version: 01.00.00.41

I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into how I might get the 5235 working, or where I can find firmware older than 8.0.0.4, say 7.2.0.4 or earlier.

PM on the forum. Top right of screen, there's a little envelope, that's your PM's, or Conversations in XenForo speak.

I have a (well 20) 5224 on version 04.00.00.07 firmware that I'm trying to get to v6

when I try to update it, it's looking for these files

Mar 12 14:58:16 tftpd[13233]: tftpd: trying to get file: L2Boot_00.bin
Mar 12 14:58:16 tftpd[13235]: tftpd: trying to get file: BootIp5220Dpl_00.bin
Mar 12 14:58:16 tftpd[13237]: tftpd: trying to get file: Sip5224Dpl_00.bin
Mar 12 14:58:16 tftpd[13239]: tftpd: trying to get file: sip5224dpllang_en_CA.bin
Mar 12 14:58:18 tftpd[13241]: tftpd: trying to get file: sip5224dpltone_CA.bin

for some reason it seems to be Canadian (even though I'm in the UK)

I have a set of v5 firmware which includes all but the _CA.bin files and I've tried renaming sip5224dpltone_GB.bin to sip5224dpltone_CA.bin but I don't have an english sip5224dpllang_en_??.bin with which to do the same trick.

can anyone help?

thanks in advance :)

@tbrummell: Can you please share these files: L2Boot_00.bin, BootIp5220Dpl_00.bin, Mintelp5220Dpl.bin ? (note: with default settings on 5220 phone, the version was returned to 01.00.02.32, if it makes any difference). Thanks in advance!

Good morning at all!
I was redirected to this forum by another one and am looking for the latest firmware for Mitel 5360s (currently running version 6.02.00.06). I've had some given to me and would like to use them as a SIP Phone. Do the latest versions bring any major improvements?
I also have some 5340, 5330, 5224... so I think to upgrade all...
@tbrummell can you help me as others?
