Good day,

I have just created a main IVR that will receive from our main office pbx, playing the announcement I have the option to "press 2" to pass the call in the branch office pbx, and will then play the branch IVR message.

Main and branch office pbx is connected thru IAX2.

I just don't have an idea how to interconnect its IVR between two pbx, or the recommended practice.

Appreciate any inputs.

Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,
This is what I’ve done in the past:
At the Main Office, create a misc dest to send the calls to the Branch
Say the MO ext range is 200-299
create a misc dest using a prefix plus an unused extension: 5299
point the “Press 2” to this misc dest
add a new match to your outbound BO route: prepend 5 match 299

at the BO create a new inbound route
DID 299 with its destination of your BO ivr

Appreciate your idea and reply @islandtech . To progress I have some questions;

Is the "unused ext" should be created in MO? I used the 6299 pattern. I have seen the 6299 was able to pass by IAX to one another.
I have created a general inbound route with DID 299 in BO, but as I noticed after I press 2, logs are just continously looping. Never end until I hangup the call.

BTW, I have "ivr-custom" in MO, not sure if it has relevance in my problem.

Thanks!

I got it successfully @islandtech .
I looked in other forums, figure out that my BO IAX should be context=from-trunk.
I have 2xx extensions in MO, I think it could be any digit like 788 or 456 in my Misc Destination (correct me if I'm wrong), for as long as it will be match in MO outbound route and DID inbound route of BO?

Thanks so much, appreciate your help.

Yes, just as long as they match the MO outbound route to the BO and that the BO inbound has the same
