If anyone needs a weekend project, Incredible PBX 16 LITE may be just what you needed.

Prerequisites: CentOS 7 platform, 1GB+ RAM, 20GB+ drive

Getting started:

Code:
passwd
yum -y update
yum -y install net-tools nano wget tar
cd /root
wget http://incrediblepbx.com/incrediblepbx-16-LITE.tar.gz
tar zxvf incrediblepbx-16-LITE.tar.gz
rm -f incrediblepbx-16-LITE.tar.gz
# if your platform doesn't have swap file and NOT OpenVZ platform
./create-swapfile-DO
# only use above on non-OpenVZ platforms
./IncrediblePBX16-LITE.sh

Follow the Incredible PBX LITE for Raspbian 10 tutorial for temporary documentation. It's essentially the same code except for Asterisk 16 + PicoTTS + WebMin.

Installed this in Hyper V it installed no errors but no web (ie web directories empty and default apache page shows when you hit the server IP). Will look at when I have time what might have gone wrong.

I think the LITE versions don't have FreePBX so no web. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

No web and no MySQL required with the LITE releases. Sign up with a provider, connect a SIP phone, and DONE.

Ward,

Looks great, but the RentPBX platform is missing and they seem to be stuck back in 32B land. Curious if you or anyone here has talked with them lately and determined what the plans might be ?

@phonebuff: Send them a note a couple months ago and never heard back. Not sure what's going on with them.

Interesting project!

(A caution, if using DO don't use ssh keys when creating the droplet the sshd_config file gets mangled)

Edit: ok use ssh keys but set a passwd before moving on. A bit of Yossarian thing there Ward . . .

Enchiladas anyone? The Adventure Continues...

You've got my attention now with new versions Asterisk and FreePBX. I've spun up a new Centos 7 VM in anticipation of a new full release of IncrediblePBX.

That is hilarious.

FreePBX 15 has been around for months. Asterisk 16 has been around since October.

Ward posts a screenshot of a FreePBX 15 dashboard and you're salivating.

What am I missing?

FreePBX 15 still is in beta IIRC. We prefer to build our production-ready platforms with production-ready components. :angelsad2:

Review the history of UCP if you want a good example of why this makes sense.

I'm confused - I thought LITE was pre-configured asterisk without the FreePBX GUI, but now your showing the FreePBX dashboard??
