NO JOY hylafax iaxmodem received failed. Please help

Hello everyone,

I have problem receiving fax via iaxmodem with hylafax on asterisk 13. Below is the log I got:

I've been searching for 03 days and tried lots of thing but it still not working. Any help is appreciated.

are you trying to use the same phone number for both calls and fax if so dont you need two numbers

and do you have the inbound set to Set Destination to Custom Destination FAX

also make sure not to turn on i mean click yes to Detect Faxes under Inbound... that should be NO

other then that should work.

I use dedicated number for fax (no call).
I only use asterisk (without GUI). How could it be set for fax detect?
Sorry, I'm new to this fax stuff.

It really doesn't matter whether you have a gui or inbound routes etc. , the call IS getting to your iax2 modem through asterisk, your carrier cannot however carry faxes over G711 adequately, there are thousands of posts as to why not, but ultimately you will have get a better carrier and possibly a better internet connection, or better yet find a carrier that supports t38 and install a few t38modems, otherwise you are "just dead in the water"
