All,

I just installed ver 13-13.10-vbox. while trying to get to the Web GUI I get this...Notice the Can not connect to Asterisk in the upper left corner:

It is not accepting username or password as well. (Presumably because it cannot reach asterisk). Can anyone assist?

Thanks,
Steve

Still digging and came up with this:

root@IncrediblePBX:/etc/fail2ban $ service fail2ban status
fail2ban-server (pid 19145) is running...
Status
|- Number of jail: 4
`- Jail list: apache-badbots, asterisk, asterisk-tcp, ssh-iptables
WARNING: Always run Incredible PBX behind a secure hardware-based firewall.
root@IncrediblePBX:/etc/fail2ban $

Ward...

I do believe I know what the problem is...
My computer is using an Intel Xenon X5650 CPU running at 2.67 Ghz with two processors

And this is from messages:

Feb 13 20:18:42 IncrediblePBX kernel: asterisk[16131] trap invalid opcode ip:457769 sp:7ffcd9c0a490 error:0 in asterisk[400000+26e000]
Feb 13 20:18:44 IncrediblePBX kernel: asterisk[16137] trap invalid opcode ip:457769 sp:7ffeb0f64310 error:0 in asterisk[400000+26e000]
Feb 13 20:18:46 IncrediblePBX kernel: asterisk[16144] trap invalid opcode ip:457769 sp:7ffe418bd790 error:0 in asterisk[400000+26e000]
Feb 13 20:18:48 IncrediblePBX kernel: asterisk[16150] trap invalid opcode ip:457769 sp:7fffe5301dd0 error:0 in asterisk[400000+26e000]
Feb 13 20:18:50 IncrediblePBX kernel: asterisk[16156] trap invalid opcode ip:457769 sp:7ffefa9d1130 error:0 in asterisk[400000+26e000]

A friend who is helping me said that asterisk binary is crashing and it looks like it is due to processor incompatibility???? Any Thoughts ?

From post 2... Your screenshot says "asterisk dead but subsys locked". You need to fix this first. Check /var/run/asterisk. There's probably an orphaned 'asterisk' file there.
I think you start and stop asterisk with amportal start/stop

I'm sure there are 1,000s of Xenons running asterisk.

I've done a few without incident. Dallas is pointing you in the right direction with the subsys locked
