Hello:

When I do this: asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvv

I get this, endlessly:

Is there a problem? If so, how does it happen and how do I fix it?

Perhaps it is caused by this: I have setup 3 Google Voice Motif's: 2 say 'connected' while the 3rd says 'disconnected'. I have no idea why it did not connect like the other two.

Thanks,

Rob.

Those are XMPP error messages - generally seen when a GV account is mis-configured. Check your credentials on that third account.

Thanks Ross, that GV account is definitely causing the problem because when I remove, the XMPP error msgs disappear.

My username, password and GV phone number are correct, and, I believe all three gmail & gv accounts are identical with respect to 'chat' and the other settings. The only difference that I see now is that two of the two accounts that are working were set up on ObiTalk and have been listed as 'accepted' in the 'less secure apps' page in google. The third one has 'less secure apps' enabled but no accounts, like ObiTalk, have been set up.

For what it is worth, I'll set up an ObiTalk account using the malfunctioning GV3 account just to see if that makes a difference - I'll post the outcome here after I try.

Edit: Doing the above DID NOT resolve the issue.

Edit2: I turfed out the GV3 account completely that I was using and substituted a different GV4 account and that one 'Connected'. I guess I screwed up one of the settings on the GV3 account or the related Gmail account - life is too short to bother with this.

[2015-06-09 18:21:44] WARNING[5025] res_xmpp.c: JABBER: socket read error

I am getting the same error, I believe its because i dont have the correct host name in trunk settings and unsure where to obtain that
Code:
username=xxxxxx
type=peer
trustrpid=yes
sendrpid=yes
secret=xxxxxx
qualify=yes
insecure=very
host=gvgw2.simonics.com
dtmfmode=rfc2833
disallow=all
context=from-pstn
allow=ulaw&g729
I used host=gvgw2.simonics.com from an post i read wrote by Wardmundy but have not yet confirmed that's what i should use.
Google did not send any info or instructions on how to set up the trunk.
What am i missing?

That trunk information is obsolete and also irrelevant to XMPP/Jabber errors on your Asterisk server. Looks like you got a few concepts and posts confused. What are you trying to do?

You can use a GV <=> SIP gateway service, which lets you configure it as a SIP trunk, or you can use Asterisk's native Google Voice module, which is not configured like a SIP trunk at all. Try the native GV module first.

thanks very much for the tip
Disabled trunk and enabled Google module and selected auto add trunk
trunk went off line asap

Code:
Name/username Host Dyn Forcerport ACL Port Status Description
007 (Unspecified) D A 0 UNKNOWN
008 (Unspecified) D A 0 UNKNOWN
2 sip peers [Monitored: 0 online, 2 offline Unmonitored: 0 online, 0 offline]
should i have to add there domain to my white list or edit my firewall?

I'm having the same problem:

Code:
 res_xmpp.c:3576 xmpp_client_receive: Parsing failure: Hook returned an error.
[2016-05-07 22:08:18] WARNING[10340]: res_xmpp.c:3573 xmpp_client_receive: Parsing failure: Invalid XML.
[2016-05-07 22:08:18] WARNING[10340]: res_xmpp.c:3640 xmpp_client_thread: JABBER: socket read error

I have several OAUTH trunks and I simply moved one from Incredible ISO Scientific Linux 13.2 to Incredible PBX on Ubuntu 14.04. I double checked and re-entered the token and other info but on the ubuntu machine it says "disconnected" and I get a flood of errors as the OP did. (the Incredible ISO I actually "hand-modified" for the OAUTH capability but the ubuntu machine already has it ... ah I wonder if downgrading to asterisk 11.22 (for a2billing) and not compiling the xmpp module did it ... hmm may have just answered my question :)

EDIT: Yes I was compiling without the right xmpp module. Re-installed 13.8.2 and GV works fine now. Don't think a2billing cares if it's 11.22 or 13.8.2 (though I could certainly be wrong about that!)

This just started for me yesterday, and still going on this morning ... my 6 GV trunks throw CLI errors except simonics .. it can make a call but calling it is a "lost call" :D

Code:
[2016-09-24 01:07:54] NOTICE[6682]: res_xmpp.c:3890 fetch_access_token: access Token : blah
[2016-09-24 01:07:57] ERROR[6684]: res_xmpp.c:3661 xmpp_client_reconnect: No XMPP connection available when trying to connect client 'gblahbllah'
[2016-09-24 01:07:57] ERROR[6686]: res_xmpp.c:3661 xmpp_client_reconnect: No XMPP connection available when trying to connect client 'gblahblah'

[2016-09-24 01:08:01] NOTICE[6684]: res_xmpp.c:3639 xmpp_client_reconnect: Connecting to client token : blahblah

I upgraded asterisk to current but no help. Has google given us the slip again? :D Not like I mind paying 1 cent a minute for calls though gotta say, and they work ...

I'm using the Incredible PBX on ubuntu, and it has been a little flaky lately ( lots of options greyed out on the GUI, "sip show" type commands saying "what is this SIP?" ) It seems like Scientific Linux was more stable, for a very silly and unsolicited opinion :)

Well Google seems to have settled down for the moment ... 3 of my 5 OAuth trunks are connecting, although 2 are not. Very strange, but I guess it's progress. Maybe I should just ditch GV and just use voip.ms for calls and DIDs. Sure is more reliable.

EDIT that night: The other two are working now. Everything back to normal, crisis averted! Another Google life experience! Now go to DIDLogic and voip.ms and end this madness! :D You get what you pay for more or less...

3 out of 4 trunks connected and working/ringing here. The one trunk not connected says it's connected on the GV Motif trunk settings page, but the ringing does not actually ring thru to the pbx.
CentOS 7 32 bit. The issue is the trunk though, not the OS.
The GV Motif XMPP code is not clever enough to handle the edge case of the trunk having started life as a non-gmail address ie a "google account", and later, a gmail address added to it, which made the XMPP login work, however, calls do not get thru.

I have same problem with error messages right after I changed my Google password.
I was not aware I had the GV accounts even set up in my pbxinaflash, so I removed the trunk.
No luck!

Please let me know what else to remove so I can stop this?

...many hours later I found the GUI interface for google voice under the Connectivity tab.
There I could update my password
It was a few years ago I used this.
