So I was humming along nicely for last few years with my Grandstream HT503 providing outbound local access to my pots line, when bang, the dang thing just quit - no lights, no restarting, just dead! So now I'm in the market for a good FXO standalone device to reconnect my PIAF laptop back to my local line. I have seen others recommend the OBi110 for such purposes - is that still the recommendation for on-the-cheap fxo for home? I have only 1 line to connect up, and PIAF handles connections to my other 3 service providers (including Google Voice still).

Thanks!!

If your Grandstream uses an external power transformer you might check it with a meter. It might have failed an the ATA might still be good --

But OBI is a good answer -
