For the trunk config, lokk at the first post... Ward added a working config yesterday.....
For the register string, just add your DID at the end : user:p[email protected]:9060/DID
Make sure UDP port 9060 is forwarded to your box if behind a firewall
To receive call, they have to activate it. If you get "number is not in service", the number is not activated. If you get axvoice box, the number is activated. Make sure the context (incoming details) is set to from-trunk-nameoftrunk (mrsco's post)
Hope this helps
PS: Could paste my config here, but It is the same as posted by Ward on sticky

I am having the number not in service problem. I got asterisk to register but when I make an outgoing call I have a 3-5 second delay after the phone rings before the call is connected.

Jeff
Ax voice fixed the number not in service. They said VOIP always has a delay and put a # after dialing the number but I still have the delay. Anyone else having this problem?

hurrah!

Tinkering paid off.

Since the PEER Details: of [axvoice] contains a host=magnum.axvoice.com AND by comparing to my existing [telasip] trunk, I thought to change the register string... try this for your register string:

UNAME:pWORD@axvoice/1DID

Worked for me. Hope it works for someone else.

BTW: I'm still using FBX 2.2.1 on * 1.2.17 and plan to update to uncle Ward's soon, just wanted to make sure the beta Axvoice account I had was still working.

Yes, this one works!

Finally, both incoming AND outgoing work with the above settings, well done,

In "Incoming settings"
Change your context to reflect the user context in user details :
instead of "from-trunk" , put "ax-in"

What happens when you call your number ? Do you get axvoice's box ?

@jrglass
-How many outgoing routes do you have ?
-Is your axvoice outgoing route the first in the list ?
-In your axvoice outgoing route, how many trunks do you have referenced ?

I tried the ax-in on the user context and it did not fix it. Getting their voicemail.

Still keep it that way (ax-in). You should also define the type as "peer" in outgoing settings, and "user" as incoming. In general when you define a device as friend, asterisk knows that the device will make and receive calls.
You have too much stuff in the incoming settings. Always a good idea to keep it simple so just put in:
context=
secret=
type=user
username=

Try turning off the firewall. Not sure UDP 9060 is open. Perhaps Joe can list the command here to set it so that the firewall can be left on.

Hi

for info, this can be edited in webmin in networking / linux firewall, or hand edit /etc/sysconfig/iptables. Reboot if you take the latter option.

I've tried all the settings above. Still can't get incoming phonecalls but outgoing seems to work now.

Outbound is working, but inbound has never been up. Has anyone gotten inbound working?

Call AxVoice and ask on which port they are showing their outbound connection to you. Then you'll need to be sure that port is redirected in ALL your firewalls/routers to your PBX in a Flash box.

Guess I have the same problem as most others are experiencing. I can dial out with no problems but incoming to my DID just keeps getting "number not in service"

I sent a email to [email protected] . I will see how things work out.

Axvoice sent me a email that everything should be ok and it is.

Inbound and outbound working fine now.

Now to figure out why the caller id info is not working
