did you get to the bottom of this? did dmesg give any more clues to what is happening?
what hardware devices do you have that need dahdi?

If it was my server, I would create a spare, do a full backup of existing piaf install, scp it to the new server, running piaf 3.0.6.6 green, and full restore.

You only lose a few things that don't migrate, like call forward settings in the user panel, and music on hold.

Hello womble1 i had the same problem while trying to compile Sangoma Card but it has been fixed ,
What setting do you need
