I've used bulkvs.com as my 911 provided for a long time now.

They have upgraded the UI and now offer a full suite of services.

$0.0003/min for Origination in the US lower 48.... 100,000 mins for $3... Can't beat that. MRC $0.06 NRC $0.05.
I use this service for conferences.
$0.002 for CNAM Dip.
$0.004 for NA Termination.
TF US/Canada Origination for $0.0055. Can't find anybody close to that!
They will pay you if you route TF traffic via them.

No minimums!

Oops... decade wrong on CNAM dip: $0.002/ea. They advertise $0.005, but dropped it just by inquiring.

It would be nice if they would let you create an account. Every time I try, I get a form submission error.

That's weird but I have noticed minor bugs in the GUI in Chrome (it's very new). I would suggest emailing they are quite responsive.

FYI, they require a business email address to register an account. If you try to register with a non business email, you will get a submission error.

Incredible PBX 16-15 Setup Instructions

/etc/asterisk/sip_custom_post.conf
entries should look like this:
Code:
[bulkvs1](bulkvs);
host=199.255.157.198

[bulkvs2](bulkvs);
host=162.249.171.198

[bulkvs3](bulkvs);
host=69.12.88.198

[bulkvs4](bulkvs);
host=76.8.29.198

/usr/local/sbin/iptables-custom additions are the following:
Code:
# bulkvs
/usr/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -p udp -m udp -s 199.255.157.198 --dport 5060 -j ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -p udp -m udp -s 162.249.171.198 --dport 5060 -j ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -p udp -m udp -s 69.12.88.198 --dport 5060 -j ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -p udp -m udp -s 76.8.29.198 --dport 5060 -j ACCEPT
# End of Trusted Provider Section

chan_sip trunk should look like this:
Code:
Trunk Name: bulkvs

type=friend
qualify=yes
insecure=port,invite
host=sip.bulkvs.com
disallow=all
context=from-pstn-e164-us
dtmfmode=rfc2833
allow=ulaw

Then follow the setup on the bulkvs side for IP-based authentication:
Code:
IP Based Authentication - Inbound

Step 1: Go to Interconnection -> Host - Add and add your source IP address

Step 2: Go to Interconnection -> Trunk Group - Add to create your trunk group

Step 3: Go to Inbound -> DIDs - Manage -> Select your telephone number and set your number to your trunk group

Step 4: Please wait 10-15 minutes so the new IP and Trunk Group could propogate to all of our SBC nodes

Step 5: Inbound calls will be sent to your system IP from one of the IPs listed bellow. Please also white list the below IPs on your system.

       SIP Proxy / SRV Record: sip.bulkvs.com
       Supported Codecs: G.711u, G729a, T.38 (Pass Through where available)
       DTMF Support: RFC2833 and Inband(G.711u)
       SIP Port: 5060
       IP Addresses:
           199.255.157.198
           162.249.171.198
           69.12.88.198
           76.8.29.198

Step 6: All Calls will be sent to your IP with RURI 1NXXNXXXXXX (ex: 13109060901)

IP Based Authentication - Outbound

Step 1: Go to Interconnection -> Host - Add to add your source IP address

Step 2: Please wait 10-15 minutes so the new IP could propagate to all of our SBC nodes

Step 3: In order to have full redundancy to all our data centers our sip.bulkvs.com SRV is recommended to be used. In the event that SRVs are not supported on your system we have also listed the IPs below. Please also white list the below IPs on your system.

       SIP Proxy / SRV Record: sip.bulkvs.com
       Supported Codecs: G.711u, G729a, T.38 (Pass Through where available)
       DTMF Support: RFC2833 and Inband(G.711u)
       SIP Port: 5060
       IP Addresses:
           199.255.157.198
           162.249.171.198
           69.12.88.198
           76.8.29.198

Step 4: Outbound Calling could be sent in the following format:
       -Send calls to [email protected]
       -Send calls to [email protected]
       -For Example: Send calls to [email protected]
       -For Example: Send calls to [email protected]
       -For 911 calls: [email protected]

*For E911 Service, to verify address as currently in 911 DB, call [email protected]

*For E911 Service, ensure that the Caller ID is set to one of following formats
       10 Digits, ex: 3109060901
       11 Digits, ex: 13109060901
       11 Digits, ex: +13109060901
       Caller ID in any other format will be rejected

Then set up an Inbound Route for your DID and an Outbound Route that uses your bulkvs trunk and...
Code:

Agree with all here...check their origination rates! $0.0003/min. That's 100,000 mins for $3!
Great for conferencing, or for extremely cheap inbound. No minimums, no max minutes or channel limits. DIDs are practically free.

Kenn10,

I got an email back from them. Password can only contain upper and lower case alpha (A-Z, a-z) and 0-9. No other characters.

They also support bulk transfers. I pushed about 100 E911 to them at once. Pretty impressive.

Their Cnam dip seems very good too. I think its better than others - thinking about moving from opencnam to them.

Can anyone comment on the voice quality over, say, flowroute?

On some of my test calls (with the $.1 credit) I'm not hearing the phone ring at the other end prior to the connection (ie pickup).

@AndyInNYC
I've been testing their termination quality for about a month now.
All my US calls are fine. Crystal clear audio. No issues whatsoever.
It's too bad that they don't offer international calling.

So, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding bulkvs.com's billing.

I started with $.10 of their 'free time' to test with.

I'm only using their system for outbound calls.

I made 3 calls of varying time

378 secs billed at $0.0504 = $0.008/min
008 secs billed at $0.0016 = $0.012/min
016 secs billed at $0.0024 = $0.009/min

Their website says that outbound calls are $0.004/min (half my least expensive call).

Anyone have any idea how they break down call costs?

I think all their termination per/mn rates are origin/destination and carrier dependent. Even their DIDs have different per mn rates and MRC depending on NPA-NXX. But all in all they have competitive pricing.
Edit: Sorry I wasn't thinking straight. What I said above was not for bulkvs.com but v1voip.

I called tech support. My outgoing was 'incorrectly set' at .008/min. They changed it, so all of my NA calls will be charged at $.004/min.

PSA - check you call log on their system to check your pricing - if it's not $.004, give them a call.

Good to know. I'll check and call them too if my account is set the same way.
Edit: Interesting find; on the day of my account creation all outgoing calls were at $0.008, but the following day onward it went to $0.004.

I'm concerned about companies like this cause I don't know them. My worst fear is that I port numbers to them, they go belly up and then I lose my dids. What would happen in that scenario?

They've been around for quite a while.
