FYI Avaya and OOH323

Hi,

I am using Incredible PBX 13-13.10. And am trying to configure ooh 323 for Avaya 4621 phones. When checking ooh323 status getting the device status is "no" how to enable this device state to yes

I'm not sure you can make them work using ooh323. Avaya 96xx phones can have SIP firmware loaded on them and work but I've never heard of anyone being able to reuse much of the 46xx series with Asterisk. According to the Avaya support website, there is a way to make the 4621 a SIP phone but you never gain full control so that phone works like it does on an Avaya PBX.

These phones do not work on Asterisk with the standard Avaya proprietary digital load.

Thanks for your swift response. Could you please advise how to configure h323 extension in asterisk. And in the channel driver: OOH323 -- it shows the below details

Device State: no
Indication: yes
Transfer : no

and when checking sip and pjsip it shows device sate and Transfer is "yes". So it could be yes for ooh323. Please advise.

I'm not familiar with any current equipment that uses OOH323 nor have I ever used it with Asterisk. Time you waste trying to reuse Avaya equipment on Asterisk is largely time lost. Good luck.
