I am getting this message over and over again in my

tail -f /var/log/messages

pbx avahi-daemon: Invalid query packet.

should I do this ..

http://www.question-defense.com/201...i-error-avahi-daemon2699-invalid-query-packet

Code:
yum update avahi

or this ?

Code:
yum -y install avahi-tools

ps -aux | grep avahi

avahi-discover “process id number from command above”

look for the error, you might need to install missing packages like gtk*, etc…

I always disable avahi-daemon on the system. This can be done via Webmin/System/Bootup and Shutdown

just went through my logs and saw all this avahi-daemon spam as well...
so is the avahi-daemon a non-essential part of PIAF?

Thanks Ward...
for those who don't want/use it...

"/sbin/service avahi-daemon stop" <--- kills it

"/sbin/chkconfig avahi-daemon off" <--- stops it from starting on reboot
