TIPS asteridex for conference line dialing

I am running Incredible PBX for quite a while now. I am looking for a solution that will allow me to dial a phone number, wait a few seconds, dial an extension, wait a few second, dial a code...
So for example dial 18005551212 wait 1 second and enter extension number 111 wait another 2 seconds and enter another number.
Is there a way to do this with Asteridex? I tried adding spaces, commas, "w", "p" to the number dialed without any luck. When I tried any of these I get the dreaded - your call cannot be completed as dialed...
If it helps I am using Vitelity for my outbound sip trunks

in your dialstring add a D() option from bash
