Hi all

I am a complete n00b when it comes to VoIP, Asterisk and XiVO. I do know a tiny bit about Linux. I am completely stuck getting my trunk connection working and I need your help.

So far I have

1. Installed the Raspberry Pi version of Incredible XiVO on my brand new Raspberry PI 3.

2. Set up 3 extensions including and X-Lite soft phone and two old 7940Gs set up as SIP phones.

3. The extensions can dial each other no problem and I can get the news via 951 so I know the internet connection from the R Pi is working fine.

4. My SIP provider is called 2talk and I have successfully connected each of the7940Gs and the softphone directly using the settings provided by 2talk. When I say successful I mean outgoing calling works but incoming calling does not work on the 7940Gs.

5. My SIP provider appears to be registering the XiVO even though I am unable to make calls in or out. The IP address reported by the SIP provider does not match the WAN IP address on my modem.

6. I am currently running on a 4G wireless broadband connection that I understand does not have either a fixed or public IP address. I believe it traverses some kind of NAT on the way through to the internet proper.

7. On the SIP setup side I have tried everything I can think of. Trying to use TCP, TLS, and IAX and a bigger port 50600 which is supported by the provider. I have also tried inputting a STUN server.

8. I have researched for hours on various forums and looking at the 2talk tutorials for Asterisk other PBXs.

In all cases I get “The person you are calling is busy or unreachable. Please try again later.” Most times immediately; sometimes after a pause.

These are my SIP trunk settings

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Your issue may be the NAT issue. Try turning on Monitoring like this:
