    Ver. 1.7.5.5.4 - (64bit) iso burn problem

Ron, Since nobody has responed to your question ... I have had no problems burning any ISO, 32 or 64 bit. And I am guessing if others were having troubles, this board would light up like a Xmas tree. So... initial best guess is that it is something on your end.

    Aastra 6755i Difficulties

You have a client server topology. If you make changes on the client, the server is not aware of these changes. Make all your changes on the server and just reboot your phone which will then pick up these changes. In short stay out of the phone web ui. I would suggest that you search this...

    Cepstral and Asterisk 1.6

Asterisk 1.6 is not the issue. Your script works and works well on a 32 bit machine. As you stated in your article, "For Asterisk 1.6.2 systems running under 32-bit CentOS" I of course ignored and installed on a 64 bit machine. Cepstral works fine, however app-swift does not. On a 32 bit...

What and where did you make your changes for the 4 line appearences. Initally it sounds like an error in your MAC.cfg files.

    Cepstral and Asterisk 1.6

Hey Sippy thanks for the response. Ward is usually spot on in the instructions and he does suggest 32 bit and 1.4 for a happy experience. So far this is the only stumble. But yes there should be a warning for 64 bit users.

    PBX inside a PBX

Probably should not include your PBX IP address in the post. To see what is going on with your system take a look at your var/log/asterisk/full file to see what is going on or jump to the asterisk CLI to see what is going on and post those results.

    Vtiger 5.1

I have it up and running with the click to dial intergration. Then only thing I have not gotten to work correctly is the incoming pop-up. V-Tiger is much more robust than the the plain old Sugar. Once I feel more comfortable with it it will be part of my commercial offerings.

    T1 Card Recommendations

If this is your first one then I would reccommend the Digium. It's pretty much plug and play, you just need to comfigure your channels and signaling etc. and you're up and running. Plus the tech support is good.

Inbound calls: number not in service

This is a ZAP channel. You will need to set up an incoming route and an incoming DID. If you ran genzaptelconf to auto configure your ZAP cards you well need to change your channel area in zaptel_auto.conf from pstn to zaptel.

Need Advice for replacing a mitel 200 system

These "modems" are taking the log data / ASCII data from the Mitel and sending to your PMS system so the front desk can bill everything with a few key strokes. Often when a guest checks out the PMS not only prints out the bill but also turns off the phone and sets the mail box to new. Asterisk...

Need Advice for replacing a mitel 200 system

The Mitel sx200 is pretty easy to work on if you have the manuals and can think Mitel. Usually hotels/motels choose Mitel due to Hotel features in the system and there is usually some sort of property management system (PMS) attached so that when a guest checks out, phone calls can easily be...

    New Install

Deano, I agree with Joe on this one. The key here is "Currently I have a SME server with Hylafax at this location and a windows server running virtual server with exchange on it." Now you want to add PiaF. What the customer wants is not always the best solution and it would be your job to...

    ALERT please report hacks

Okay, I just got hacked. I was a little slow on the 701/701 extension deal. The hack came out of a data center in Quebec. They made about 30 calls from a dialer before I could pull the plug. The dialer was asking the people to activate their account by entering in their credit card number...

Tom, thanks for this. The aspire is something that I will add to my offerings when this is released and am really looking forward to the mini server solution. VPN in a Flash

For the true road warrior this is a good solution. From a commercal point of view I am hesitant on selling this to a small business as their main system, as it's a laptop and I have not had great success on a laptop always plugged in with the battery in the case etc. etc. For personal use, I...
