TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

@kenn10 Thanks again. I never got very good at understanding dial plans but what I have at /etc/asterisk in extensions.conf seems to match yours. Let me post the log, maybe you will get some idea what's going on from there. I notice, using an Obi to connect, it's pretty slow when I dial out...

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

Thanks for the tip @ostridge. I was actually trying to ask for a copy of the original ./install script for OP. I found what I was looking for in [macro-dialout-trunk-predial-hook], although I couldn't see a way to modify it to truncate the leading 1's from the dial string. I now realize that...

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

Thank you again. My only DID's are with BulkVS. I reviewed the trunk setting for BulkVS and I did have the context set to from-pstn-e164-us, and the BulkVS is set to 11 digits (I believe that's how it has been since it was set up). I use Anveo (which requires the leading 1) for outbound if...

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

Running IncrediblePBX 2021 for Debian. Thank you very much for the picture @kenn10. Turns out I do already have the Outbound CNAM installed! I found [macro-dialout-trunk-predial-hook] and realized that I overlooked uncommenting line 3 or 4 to activate the outbound call lookups. I have...

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

@kenn10 Thanks for the link. I tried to install the FreePBX module but there is no tarball available at http://pbxossa.org/files/outcnam/ as the instruction advise obtaining. Can you see a way to obtain the tarball (or alternative) directly from the github site?

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

Still working on this. Can anyone tell me where the script that adds the OUTGOING call's NUMBER <NUMBER> to the FreePBX phone book is located? I couldn't find it myself and think I deleted the installation script as one of the last steps in the tutorial.

TIPS ISO an easy way to retrieve Incredible Backup file from Incredible PBX Server

@ostridge: Wouldn't using Settings/FileStore+Add Local Path, be the setup for someone wanting to save the copy of the backup on the IncrediblePBX server? My situation is kind of the opposite: I have a copy of the backup on the IncrediblePBX server in /backup already and want to get it...

TIPS ISO an easy way to retrieve Incredible Backup file from Incredible PBX Server

If you tell me where to look for the log, I can post it. The problem seems happen when trying to save the Backup Job after adding the file location. It doesn't happen when running the backup, because the setting I want is never saved as part of the backup. I have also tried creating a new...

Setting up Gmail account on PIAF 2022

You might want to take a look here: https://nerdvittles.com/deploying-a-non-google-smtp-relayhost-with-asterisk/ I'm no expert but my understanding is that Google was going to discontinue the support for that service.

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

Thanks for the tip! I can't tell if I found the setting you meant. In the BulkVS portal, I found Interconnection-->Trunk Group-->2 Trunks Listed (Screenshot below). They were both set to 11 digits when I got the results from OP. I tried setting both of them to the other choices: 10 digits...

TIPS ISO an easy way to retrieve Incredible Backup file from Incredible PBX Server

Thank you for looking at this again. I set up a DropBox account in Filestore. The Filestore setup works fine for getting a FreePBX backup to DropBox. The FreePBX feature of being able to select an additional file for upload to DropBox, however, won't work for me.

TIPS ISO an easy way to retrieve Incredible Backup file from Incredible PBX Server

No I don't think so. I just wanted the FreePBX backup to pick up the RP-2022.11.20.18.48-A18.1.1-F15.0-I2021.01.tar.gz file and upload it to Dropbox for me.

TIPS Spam blocker cnam cornucopia -- Phonebook Entries for Outgoing Calls

I set up the spam blocking following the instructions from the tutorial here: https://nerdvittles.com/spam-blocker-cnam-cornucopia-for-incredible-pbx-2021/ For incoming calls, I use Bulkvs and for outgoing my main trunk is Anveo (not sure if that makes a difference to the results I am getting)...

TIPS ISO an easy way to retrieve Incredible Backup file from Incredible PBX Server

I successfully configured "Filestore" for Dropbox under Settings and can get the FreePBX backups to upload to Dropbox. But under Admin --> Backup & Restore, when I try to add the file location of my incredible backup, FreePBX accepts the file location and click "Save", but when I look again at...

TIPS ISO an easy way to retrieve Incredible Backup file from Incredible PBX Server

I still use bare metal for my Debian 10 based Incredible PBX server and have run the /root/IncredibleBackup2021 file to create a backup. I have a dropbox account and wanted to add the /backup directory or even just the tar'd backup file to the FreePBX backup job (which is working for me with...

TIPS LTE/5G backup for $10 a month... sorta

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing this data plan and your experience using it with Netgear LB2120. I ended up signing up and buying an LB2120 to use in my 2nd residence. Using the LB2120 as an LTE modem for now, but if I ever get traditional internet there someday, the redpocket plan will...

ALERT Bulkvs New IP Addresses Effective 12/21/2021

Sorry, I didn't understand what "Bulk Solutions Messaging API" was, nor did I realize people are using the SMS/MMS features of BulkVS.

ALERT Bulkvs New IP Addresses Effective 12/21/2021

kenn10 - I believe the existing IPs both end in .198, not .195 as your post above says. Also, I returned to the BulkVS portal to look for the message about changing IP's. While I couldn't find that at the site, I do notice as of today there are only the following 3 IP addresses in the setup...

ALERT Visible - Samsung S9+ stops connecting to network out of the blue one day: 0 bars, no data, no voice, no text service

I agree that this problem only happens after a WiFi connection ends. It happened twice in a row one time--that convinced me. I've since learned to turn WiFi off on the phone and leave it connected to LTE data all the time. So far, that has worked.

ALERT Visible - Samsung S9+ stops connecting to network out of the blue one day: 0 bars, no data, no voice, no text service

This happened again on 5/8/21. Before that, Level 2 support closed my ticket for a reliability issue because of how often this has happened, saying it's due to "marginal coverage" in my area. I agree with the "marginal coverage" part! But the marginal coverage has nothing to do with where I...
