    SOLVED Aastra firmware

I had a PM for another old Aastra firmware. I hate resurrecting old threads, but this seemed like the most-likely place to put it for others to access. So, @jpanzer -- here is the file you were requesting. As I stated in the PM, I have no idea what the firmware version of this file is. All I...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT VM emails using incorrect sending email address

@atsak Maybe you could use grep to search through /etc/asterisk for the string "[email protected]" and see which file it is in. Start in /etc/asterisk or even /etc... grep -R "[email protected]" -i * EDIT: had to remove mailto: that got added... :/

FOOD FOR THOUGHT VM emails using incorrect sending email address

@atsak Check /etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf, look for the line: serveremail= I'd run into this same thing a long time ago. I believe this is where I changed it to show what I wanted. I remember having to set it manually and not in the GUI.

ALERT SUSE Forks RHEL with a $10+ Million Investment

Same here. Started with Red Hat 4.2 in July 1997, if I remember correctly. Went to using Linux (first Red Hat, then Fedora; now Debian) full time in late 1999. Haven't looked back.

SUGGESTIONS What do you use to monitor systems?

@big charlie You might also have a look at LibreNMS - a fork of Observium. I've used both of these in the past.

NO JOY Unable to flash Aastra 6757i CT

@phirephoto This should be the version 2.6.x firmware for that model... I don't have any of the later versions because they were mostly junk.

NO JOY Unable to flash Aastra 6757i CT

@phirephoto As @KNERD states, I might have some old firmware for that model. I'll have to check. It sounds like you're already in it, but there is a firmware recovery feature that the Aastras had, as well. So, I doubt it's completely bricked. Let me see what I have and I'll be back in a bit...

    SOLVED Aastra firmware

@wardmundy That makes sense now. At one time, I remember the links used to be present in the Mitel archive for the old Aastra products. But, that's been a few years. I still have a handful of 6757i's running in the house from 2009 which is why I still have this older firmware. Never could...

    SOLVED Aastra firmware

@just-me Yeah... I'd grabbed all of the .ST files I had. So, I just extracted the two files you're looking for. No guarantees that these are 2.6.x versions, although they SHOULD be simply because of the dates I see on them. I had to rename them with .TXT for an extension. Remove that and...

    SOLVED Aastra firmware

@just-me I have what I had on the system at home in a tar.gz file. The files are dated (mostly) from 2010 which should be the 2.6.x firmware. The question is how to get it to you. It's 36MB in size. It's too large to attach it here. I'll see if there's another way to get this to where you...

    SOLVED Aastra firmware

@just-me Have a look here, as well: https://www.mitel.com/en-ca/open-solutions/archives There were downloads for both the 9133i and the 57iCT present, but may be the later firmware. And yes, version 3.x was flaky. I'll check later and see if I have some of the older firmware that may be...
