    SOLVED PiaF5 no system recordings/sound

OK, factory reset the phones I was using (figured it might have been a setting I changed in the past) and also setup the 3CX Tunnel on a local device. Seems to be working now, and I feel a lot better knowing my SIP passwords aren't going across the internets unencrypted.

    SOLVED PiaF5 no system recordings/sound

Hi guys, Got an interesting one here. I'm in the process of spinning up PiaF5 on Amazon to evaluate as a replacement for my aging IPBX 12 install.I tried uploading my voicemail message file (in the correct format, I even re-encoded it to be sure) and all I get is dead air when trying to play...

QUESTION Follow me sends wrong caller ID to cell phone destination

Actually it is Vitelity. They do not allow what is called CID Spoofing, which is needed to make this work. Last I heard, voip.ms was still allowing this feature.

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

Hi MACscr. Due to changes in PiaF and CentOS, the script no longer works. Your best bet is to use a VPS hot who offers a pre-rolled image of PiaF, such as VR.org or RentPBX.

TUTORIAL VM to email with MP3 attachments

Looks like the ARM issue isn't fixed. when I ran it on my pie it tried to use yum. When I ran the apt-get commands manually, it couldn't find unix2dos, so I installed apt-get install tofrodos instead. It all works great now.

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

From researching the changes required on an OpenVZ system to get this working, and because there are OpenVZ images available for PiaF, I'm not going to support OpenVZ for this script. I have added a check for OpenVZ and Proxmox kernels to the script to prevent wasting a users time and...

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

The issue Pok is experiencing is due to Linode using a custom kernel. Because downloading and compiling custom kernel headers is beyond the scope of this script, I have added a check for Linode kernels to the script. If anyone comes across other VPS suppliers that use custom kernels (not the...

These customized installs can be a little tricky sometimes. Ward is completely correct that they can't support them and as much as possible Joe and I try to support our own scripts here in the forums. If you want a PiaF VPS fast and easy, you can always go with Host Virtual. They have a PiaF...

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

I just threw together an old P4 with 1.7GB of ram in it to create a OpenVZ server for testing. It can't do x86_64, but I'm checking the 32 bit version for any problems.

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

The install failed. Check your DNS servers and try again. I'm not sure about 32 bit, but on 64 bit Asterisk is finicky and needs to be re-compiled every time there are fixes added to it. It's possible that with FOPFix missing the asterisk compile failed? For good measure, you may want to...

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

Good to see it is working. Here are a few other tips if anyone else has some problems: - Aside from packages that already exists and no hardware clock, you shouldn't be getting any errors. If you get problems, please capture your putty logs so we can look into where the error is (you did...

OK, give me a little while. I need to setup an OpenVZ server to test this. Thanks Sircolin.

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

Nope, it is part of both the i386 and x86_64 yum lines. (ntp.x86_64 and ntp.i386 respectively) You can safely ignore the hardware clock message as in general most VMs can't access a hardware clock. As for the tty9 issue, I think that is related the the console method used for the...

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

I just installed a new PBX with Host Virtual (vr.org). Although they have a PiaF PV image, I decided to test my updated version of JRoper's script on a fully virtualized (HVM) CentOS image. I did not experience any issues, and as expected it correctly detected the full kernel and did not install...

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

I can't complain. I'm using SLC-D for my PBX and I have had no issues. I am using it for only a few DIDs and extensions (10) and I have been able to use only one node (mind you, I do almost max out the RAM). If I reach the point where I need additional resources, I love that all I need to do is...

FYI Install PIAF on CentOS Existing Installation

Version 2.00.0 - With Xen support I have completed a re-write of Joe's script in order to properly get PiaF to install on a Xen cloud system. In the process, I have updated the script to get the missing dependencies from their sources (EPEL, Webmin and PBXinaflash.net) rather than downloading...
