TIPS Vitalpbx on a different vlan than the phones.

It turns out no its not. It is on 5060. I figured that out about 30 seconds before I saw your message. I am used to pjsip being on 5061. Apparently vitalpbx defaults pjsip to 5060. Thanks for the help.

TIPS Vitalpbx on a different vlan than the phones.

I have moved everything onto the same vlan to make troubleshooting easier. SNGrep shows the following: If I expand the above entry I see the following: The above entries repeat over and over again. If I am reading this correctly asterisk never responds. Thoughts?

TIPS Vitalpbx on a different vlan than the phones.

I moved the vitalbox and phones onto the same vlan, so I could eliminate routing and firewall rules. For testing purposes, I have disabled fail2ban and iptables (This pbx is behind a hardware firewall). I am still seeing the same behavior as above. I am convinced there is something I do not...

TIPS Vitalpbx on a different vlan than the phones.

Agreed. I was doing this for testing. I have an old pbx and phones running on the main lan. I was trying to keep the old system running while I get the new system up and running on the new Vlan. The plan was once the new pbx was in production I would move everything to the new Vlan. I think I...

TIPS Vitalpbx on a different vlan than the phones.

Yes, I can see traffic via tcpdump getting to the pbx but the only return traffic from the pbx is icmp. The icmp traffic is confusing to me. I have never looked at packet dumps during a registration to know if this is normal.

TIPS Vitalpbx on a different vlan than the phones.

I have a new install of VitalPBX that I want to have on a different Vlan than the phones. Is there anything special I need to do to get the phones to register? I have setup the phones and extensions like I normally would do using freepbx but I cannot get the phones to register. SNGrep shows the...

    NEW VitalPBX vs. FreePBX

I got VitalPBX up and running and I am in the process of getting it configured. In the instructions of the NV article to get TTS working it says to make the following symlink "ln -s /usr/bin/pip3 /usr/bin/pip". This does not work for me as pip in installed in /usr/local/bin not /usr/bin. I do...

    NEW VitalPBX vs. FreePBX

I think my real question is how to do that with VitalPBX? As long as there is a way, I will look into it when I get one up and running. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't looking for something that does not exist. I had pretty much written off VitalPBX because the last I looked at it (several...

    NEW VitalPBX vs. FreePBX

Can Bulkvs be used for the dips with other trunk providers such as Skyetel? I have used BulkVS in the recent past but had to switch due to them dropping calls for no apparent reason.

Problem with Yealink T48S and Jabra Engage 75

Hi, This is a weird one. I have a working Yealink T46S with a Jabra Engage 75 headset connected to Ipbx-2020. I wanted to add a 2nd phone and Engage 75 headset. We decided to try the Yealink T48s with the Engage 75. We did a reset on the phone and headset as well as made sure the firmware on...

TIPS Clearlyip phone OpenVPN disconnect over wifi

Not sure if this is phone specific or not but I have a Yealink T46S that I use on WIFI a couple of times a year when I am on vacation. I seem to remember that the VPN dropped and reconnected itself when necessary.

TIPS Flowroute 911 surcharge $1.50 per DID 2/1/2022

Years ago I used Flowroute for both origination and termination but since the got bought out service with them deteriorated and I moved all of my DID's away from them. I was keeping the account open as an alternate route for Outbound calls. But to add Insult to injury, they even are going to...

NO JOY How do I get all of my did's to send the same caller id format?

NO JOY How do I get all of my did's to send the same caller id format?

Yes, I even added all of the inbound ip addresses listed @ https://support.skyetel.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041173493-Skyetel-IP-Addresses to both the match permit and iptables.

NO JOY How do I get all of my did's to send the same caller id format?

Hi kenn10, Thanks for the pointer. the from-pstn-e164-us looks like the solution I need however I cannot seem to get it to work. Since I was using the trunks that came pre-configured with the system and they were using chan_sip, I decided to create a new pjsip trunk as described @...

NO JOY How do I get all of my did's to send the same caller id format?

Hi, I have ported several of my did's to Skyetel. When they were with my previous provider the incoming CID was 1+the number. As a result all of my numbers in the asterisk phone book are in the form of 1+the number. Skyetel is sending the incoming CID without the 1. I also have DID's with...
