To *1.6 or Not to *1.6??

I have had chan_mobile working on 1.4 for the last few months without issue. The biggest problem was piecing all of the how-to's together to get something that worked for me. This has most of the steps in it...

    Vlans and Cisco WS-C3524-PWR-XL-EN

I really doubt it. Inline Power was Cisco's way to power ethernet devices before there was PoE. Their phones will support either format, but I'm not aware of others that do.

    TUTORIAL IPKall

I set the IAX proxy on IPKALL web page to read xx.xx.xx.xx/1234567890 where xx.xx.xx.xx is my external IP address and 1234567890 is my IPKALL number. If you're using dynamic DNS just use your dns name instead of the IP address. I forwarded port 4569 from the outside interface of my router to my...

    Indigo Integration

+1 on the X10, it's not even close to something I would use in a big install. I have 2 x-10 lights that I like to have automated with my PBX so that we can turn on the lights before we get home after dark. We could do it other ways, but its so cool to call the house and have it turn the lights...

If anyone else is looking for a quick easy way of controlling Indigo Home Automation server from asterisk have a look at this new feature of Indigo: http://perceptiveautomation.com/wiki/doku.php?id=indigo_s_restful_urls It made turning lights on and off using an IVR a breeze.

Thanks for the links, but I think I missed the part where you tied it into asterisk?

Incoming calls from Cisco analog PBX

Nobody can give you a model number on the Cisco gear? It sounds like a router running call manager express with something like a VIC2-4FXO installed but without more info it is hard to tell.

    Vlans and Cisco WS-C3524-PWR-XL-EN

You will need multiple interfaces on your router and change a couple of ports to be access ports on each vlan or it will need to support trunking and use virtual interfaces, but: service timestamps debug uptime service timestamps log uptime service password-encryption ! hostname my-switch ...

    Music on Hold

I had to do something similar not too long ago, there was a stream I wanted for MOH that would play in winamp but not with mpg123. I just ran winamp playing the stream with the shoutcast plugin and pointed mpg123 to it instead....

Problem: Using IAX2 to connect two servers

The best guide I've used for doing this is found here: http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3513382 No mucking around with config files since it's all done with the freepbx interface

Built In Support for Cellular Trunks via BlueTooth

I've been testing this the last few days here at home and it works great. The biggest problem is getting all the pieces put together to make it work....no one seems to have every single piece of the puzzle. I started by using the link above to get chan_mobile patched. When I got to the make...

hmmmm, ok it's obviously making it into the router then....maybe I should back way up and see why you think you arent getting CID on asterisk? does it not show the cid when you run asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvv and then dial into it?

How to pass CallerID from cisco vic-2fxo-m1 to piaf?

Try removing the clid strip option....also, while making a call into the line do a "show voice call" on your router and see if it is making it to the router.

How to pass CallerID from cisco vic-2fxo-m1 to piaf?

I see you are using translation profiles (translate calling 1), but you didnt post the rules defined for it. You should have something like this in your config? translation-rule 1 rule 1 null null

Help Registering to an Allworx PBX Trunk

    suggestions on routers for PIAF/VOIP?

All of the wrt54g's since version 1.1 have at least a 200 mhz processor. I never had a problem using dd-wrt on a linksys while downloading bit torrent using the tcp vegas congestion control: echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_westwood echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_vegas_cong_avoid echo 3 >...
