SOLVED BeagleBone Black VS Raspberry Pi!

I think I fixed it. 1. Look for the password used in the /etc/mysql/debian.cnf file. Ssh into your beaglebone and validate the issue. Enter this: root@beaglepbx:~# mysqladmin --defaults-file=/etc/mysql/debian.cnf ping See this: mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed 2. Let's...

SOLVED BeagleBone Black VS Raspberry Pi!

OK - setting up a new Beaglebone Black to replace my Raspberry Pi. I am getting this error mailed to me every day: This thread [http://www.lornajane.net/posts/2008/logrotate-error-on-ubuntu] indicates that: "This issue seems to happen when you move a DB from one machine to another." My...

PIAF 1.6 - Incredible PBX Dahdi Config

I guess I deserved that one. Although I can't cover your mortgage I do appreciate your major contribution to PAIF. Thanks.

PIAF 1.6 - Incredible PBX Dahdi Config

I'm going to get flamed/banned but I ... just...can't...stop...myself. Ward & Co. got upset several years ago by the direction the Asterisk project took that "broke" existing code and as a result the project has not fully embraced Asterisk 1.6, DAHDI and all the latest and greatest "stuff"...

Asterisk 1.4 or 1.6 - which do you use?

I used to watch the forum but haven't been here in while because I finally gave up. I'm still on 1.4 because no update-source for 1.6 has been made available. Hopefully since I was here last it's been released?

Amen... when will PIAF accept the future and support 1.6.x? :confused5:

    Asterisk 1.6

Generally 1.6 is not supported by the PIAF team. They have locked to an older version of 1.4 and Zaptel with the adage "if it ain't broke..." or maybe more accurately "we think the new stuff *is* broke". The ISO's have an install for 1.6 but it's old and update-source16 does not work. That...

I'm probably gonna get banned if I keep this up. I LOVE PIAF!!!!! :biggrin5:

FreePBX 2.6 did not upgrade Asterisk

The scripts are not provided as source they are "compiled" - another pet peeve but I respect the protection of their intellectual property but it seems unneighborly - and people like you or me could have potentially done just that (fixed the script) and provided it back to the PIAF community...

Thanks for the warning! Would be great to see upgrade-source16 work. :smile5:

FreePBX 2.6 did not upgrade Asterisk

Again - you guys provide all this great stuff for free and I really appreciate it. But... you don't really support 1.6. The installed version is very old and upgrade-source16 hasn't been provided in over a year. RSN isn't really RSN is it? I know Ward HATES the fact they broke old stuff...

    PIAF Running on Compact Flash

Solid State Drive SSD Write Minimization I built mine to run off Compact Flash: (These are my ideas - they are not exact steps to follow!) ========================= 1. Stop writing to the disk for every read: Edit your fstab to mount the partitions with "noatime" (add noatime to /etc/fstab)...

FreePBX 2.6 did not upgrade Asterisk

Two points: 1) Amen to the quote above 2) The PIAF community needs to pull it's head out of the sand on 1.6/DAHDI. It works OK now. You can't stay on 1.4 forever...

Tom's Daily Backup - need some help

Ward - can't believe you are answering so quickly on a Sunday. My AMPMGRUSER and AMPMGRPASS are "stock" i.e. as you posted. I did recently update-scripts and update-fixes to get the fail2ban updates - perhaps that toyed with IPtables? I would have never suspected IPTables as the backup script...
