    SOLVED Endpointmanager for IPBX 2021

Howdy! I would like to second this question. I was excited to read about OSS Endpointmanager return to IPBX 2020, but it says nothing about IPBX 2021 on Ubuntu 20.04LTS. Is there a way to make OSS Endpoint Manager work on IPBX 2021? THX, -JB

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

Ok, I relent. Not opening 443. I wonder though: using a SIP trunk to which I must deposit funds - where's the actual liability? My $25 pre-paid minutes at $0.01/minute?

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

Primarily for the UCP. If we were in a traditional brick-and-mortar office, I'd whitelist the IP of the office but since users are mobile and constantly connecting from new IPs and ISPs hand-out DHCP to home users anyway, I'm inclined to try and make the UCP available. As for the Incredible...

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

I have used the dyndns solution before and it is a good one. Even so, as techno-geeks we often fail to account for or tolerate the degree of adversity to following a procedure that most people exhibit! I can't even get my family to put the dishes away right; how will I train them to install/use...

    TIPS Avantfax with HTTPS

Howdy again! I've just been successful in getting Let's Encrypt certs going with Incredible and Webmin - bit the Avantfax web interface doesn't seem to like HTTPS. https://pbx1.mydomain.com/avantfax the Avantfax login page loads perfectly, but on input of the username and password, I get a 500...

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

Thanks billsimon! Your answer is clearly correct! I am going to consider seriously what Ward Mundy said: . ---"The important question is whether you actually want to expose your PBX to web access from the entire world. That would be extremely dangerous given the history of FreePBX...

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

Well, if I ask 'Mom' and 'Granddad' to use a port-knocker, "huh Sonny, why would you knock on a place you park a boat?" then the system will never get used and thus be wasted. If I compromise and expose HTTPS - then maybe 'Granddad' will try to use the system. I have a limited balance with my...

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

Thought that would do it. Still no observable change in 'iptables -nL' It's almost like the iptables command isn't adding anything at all! root@pbx1:~# iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport https -j ACCEPT root@pbx1:~# iptables-restart [ ok ] Restarting iptables-persistent (via systemctl)...

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

So my above command does not work to generally accept 443 traffic from entire Internet on Incredible/Ubuntu 18.04. In fact, I can't even see that it did anything when I list the rules with 'iptables -nL' I have also tried: 'iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport https -j ACCEPT' to no effect. My...

ALERT How to add HTTPS from all locations to Incredible

So I am thrilled to have HTTPS working for Incredible and Webmin, now I need to add a rule for HTTPS (443)from essentially everywhere (it is an UnCloud hosted public IP) on the internet. Is this the way: iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 443 -j ACCEPT I feel ashamed to ask such a simple...
