I haven't encountered this myself - so I'm afraid I don't have the solution up my sleeve. However googling around I see several mentions of erroneous triggering of 'detection' of DTMF tones on trunks, particularly with a female voice.

Could Asterisk be mistakenly interpreting some frequencies incoming from the trunk as DTMF tones and then passing those on to the phone? What happens if you establish a call and deliberately send DTMF 6 from the other end?

Hi, I see that at packet 344 onthe Wireshark trace to the phone you start getting DTMF six which appears to be sent from the server to the phone. No idea why...
