    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

Update: I installed the Beta version 15.5 Update 2 and none of the mail options worked (Office 365, Gmail, Outlook.com) but when I selected the 3CX SMTP server I was able to get notification emails to send. So bizarre. It's definitely something to do with the iptables default settings, but I...

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

Sorry about that Ward. I merely copy/pasted the output of iptables -L (clearly not the right way, either). My bad.

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

I suppose I should have done that in the first place. This is a clean install. I've tried about 4 times, thinking I messed something up with the 3CX installation. Still, no dice. According to Ward's tutorial, I shouldn't have to specifically allow Google's SMTP IP or port 587 after I've...

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

I've exhausted my efforts trying to get this work. Can anyone else suggest a command that I might execute to allow connections to Gmail, Office 365, etc., on port 587? The only way I can get the SMTP relay to work is if I uninstall iptables, thus exposing my VPS to the world wide web. All other...

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

I added this IP specifically, since it seems to be the problem. Below is the report back I get. My limited iptables understanding would say that all connections to this IP are allowed. Is this correct? The following iptables rules now are in effect for 173.194.202.***: ACCEPT all --...

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

Thanks @kb9mwr. The firewall was installed with all the default rules as per Ward's instructions here: http://nerdvittles.com/?p=22469. The only thing I initially added to the white list was my home FQDN. As soon as it was installed, I started getting the "Connection refused 173.194.202.109:587"...

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

Absolutely. I followed your instructions closely. The interesting thing is, when I uninstall iptables, Gmail works fine and sends all the notification emails. As soon as I re-install, I get the “Connection Refused” errors again - when I go to Settings, Email and Test.

    TIPS Gmail SMTP: connection refused

Hello, New 3CX user here. I've set up iptables as best I can by adding the relevant FQDN and IPs to the whitelist. I'm having difficulty connecting to Gmail while iptables is enable, despite allowing port 587 and adding smtp.gmail.com to the whitelist. It's probably a total newbie mistake, but...

NEED MORE INFO Experiencing some XiVO funk on ImpactVPS

I started a new VPS and installed the FreePBX version of Incredible PBX and I'm experiencing the same issue of choppy voice on the caller's end. @wardmundy, have you experienced any issues with your VoIP traffic on ImpactVPS? I have literally opened up my home devices to the internet to rule NAT...

NEED MORE INFO Experiencing some XiVO funk on ImpactVPS

Hello again, I'm experiencing a couple of issues that I'm sure has something to do with NAT but, after attempting a few (all) of the recommended fixes, I'm still stumped. Voice quality on outgoing calls from device (Grandstream GXP2140) to VPS and to my VoIP provider are excellent, with one...

TIPS Incredible PBX 13 ISO & Intel NUC Failed Install

You'd be amazed what I've accomplished over the last 2 years. I'd be up for that challenge. I do really like XiVO on ImpactVPS so far, however. I'm only having issues troubleshooting the incoming voice quality (outgoing is beyond excellent, compared to my FreePBX setup), despite forwarding ports...

TIPS Incredible PBX 13 ISO & Intel NUC Failed Install

Thank you @kenn10! I appreciate your efforts. I have decided to abandon this as I'm getting far too frustrated -- despite following the instructions and attempting to install Incredible PBX manually, I'm still getting errors. The NUC can be re-purposed. I will instead forge on and learn...

TIPS Incredible PBX 13 ISO & Intel NUC Failed Install

I'm starting to become a pro at scouring the net and forums for answers. I try my best not to post -- only if get really stumped. I might just have to toss this PBX into the cloud with one of my ImpactVPS VPS'. I can always use the NUC for another purpose. I was just hoping to keep the PBX local.

TIPS Incredible PBX 13 ISO & Intel NUC Failed Install

It's the ISO version of the installer, so Scientific Linux 6.7 (which I believe is the same as CentOS 6.7?).

TIPS Incredible PBX 13 ISO & Intel NUC Failed Install

I tried the Xivo install, and while it worked, there were definitely some quirks. I was far more comfortable with the FreePBX version of Incredible PBX. It would appear I'm using on of the challenging units - NUC5CPYH. It has the Intel Celeron N3050 chip, 8 GB of G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3L-1600 Mhz...

TIPS Incredible PBX 13 ISO & Intel NUC Failed Install

Hello PBX Geniuses! I thank you in advance for your help; I'm pretty stumped here. I have been attempting to install the Incredible PBX ISO from a USB flash drive onto my Intel NUC mini-PC and have been running into a warning after the first reboot, and prior to Incredible PBX attempting to...
