Can I use backup and restore to transfer my extensions, ring groups and routes ?

I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade IPBX to a newer distro without having to start all over. I am using CentOS 6.8 on DigitalOcean but have been having so many issues I am going to move to a new host and just want to upgrade, do a backup and restore it on new host.
