TRY THIS OSS Endpoint Manager FIXED

Yeah, uninstall/reinstall no different. Still wrong language, still pretty much broken. Now it can't even pull down phone xml info. I'll look at the commercial modules later. This latest customer only has 4 phones so no big deal for me to set them up manually.

TRY THIS OSS Endpoint Manager FIXED

Yeah, this is OSS-EPM That's installed automatically with nerdvittles install script. Maybe I'll remove it and reinstall. No idea why its language is Spanish. It's pretty much unusable on my system with the broken buttons and missing config files in editor mode. I'm doubting building a "new"...

TRY THIS OSS Endpoint Manager FIXED

Fresh install. Went to start configuring phones in endpoint manager and it's doing some weird things. Some of the place holders are the wrong language. Clicking the icons to open mac.cfg or aastra.cfg brings up a blank editor with the words "Texto 456" in the box. Save buttons don't work...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT My Yearly visit.

Hi Ward, I went with Centos 7 Minimal install and your http://nerdvittles.com/?p=13599 tutorial/scripts. Installed without a hitch. A few tweaks to the firewall and it's ready to go. Will be my new template for new VM/PBXes and updating old ones. My current VMs are 13.2, I assume the backups for...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT My Yearly visit.

I don't often come to the forums or this site. Usually it's when I need help (duh) or have some free time. I have several PBXes running the last iteration suggested (I think) by Ward. It seems like every time I come and visit, things have changed. The biggest change, different recommend unix...

TIPS Sip stops working when network alias added.

As the subject says. I'm in the process of moving several PBXes to a new IPs. In the past, I've done this by putting an alias on the network, transition my upstream to the new IP and then move phones. Once that's done, I make the new IP the main IP and dump the alias. But, when I add the...

    SOLVED IncrediblePBX13.2.iso - changing /boot size

Wow, why have I not searched and found this handy utility. Gparted for the win. Easiest method I've ever used to move partitions to freespace and get /boot to 500m. Still would be nice if the install iso created that size to start. :) http://gparted.org/download.php

    SOLVED IncrediblePBX13.2.iso - changing /boot size

Hi Ward, Another customer another install. :) However, I'm noticing the last few installs /boot is only 100mb. I run into os yum update issues even when setting max installs to 2. It would be helpful if we can get that partition at least 200mb-250mb without having to go to a manual install...

TUTORIAL NEWER Asterisk 13 Upgrade Scripts

I've stuck with SIP for all my installs. I never could get pjsip working well and looked at it as experimental and didn't want to waste time on it when SIP worked perfectly. Are there benefits that pjsip is supposed to offer over sip?

    QUESTION PBX answering too fast?

Well darn. First yes, "Pause before answer" is in seconds. Set to 3 seconds, but as soon as the pbx picks and begins annoucement, I'm still getting the overlay of "press 1 to receive" calls. I think to go with this signal ringing should be turned on as well so the other side gets a couple of...

    QUESTION PBX answering too fast?

I believe this is related to an incoming GoogleVoice call. The PBX answers and plays initial greeting, but listening to a recording of the call also has "let us know that you're not a voicemail system, press 1 to take this call" overlaying the greeting. According to what I've read the trick is...

TUTORIAL NEWER Asterisk 13 Upgrade Scripts

Worked like a charm for my 13.8.2. Said it takes 30-60+ minutes, in my case it was about 20 minutes. Will reconfigure back to queue processing and see how it goes with this version. I have(had) an even older one on 13.7.2 that I also updated without any issues. Thanks as always Ward!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Cloud at Cost is Garbage really

Personally, I REALLY hate the term "cloud", it's so much sales BS for non-techie decision makers. It's just another damn server in someone else's computer room. I have a rack in a telco, I guess I could call all my services "cloud" based too and join the crowd.

TUTORIAL NEWER Asterisk 13 Upgrade Scripts

@ward, not yet, as it refers as update to 3.8,2 or will that always be current (or nearly so after testing)? If so I'll try tonight, at least with a VM it's easy enough to snapshot and revert if it breaks something. :)

TUTORIAL NEWER Asterisk 13 Upgrade Scripts

Hello Sir Ward, My lastest LeanMean install went ballistic this morning going "live". Customer unhappy, me stressed. At the time of the LeanMean installed it installed Asterisk 13.8.2. However, after light testing and turning all the numbers on Asterisk segfaulted continuously in app_queue.so...

    TIPS "Lean-Mean" on VMware

Hmm, it's configured as default of vmxnet3. Since VMware with the VMXNET3 card owns much more of the network components even inside the VM there are many performance enhancements that could done. With the emulated E1000/E1000E the kernel has to mimic the exact behavior of existing adapters to...

    TIPS "Lean-Mean" on VMware

Which versions of Linux to choose on a VMware setup? There's no Scientific Linux listed, maybe Other(32) or Other(64) for the Linux options. Both Centos and Rhel are listed, one of those? Is the ISO a 32bit OS or 64bit?

    FUNNY STUFF Cable Porn

Wow, is that a Netapp F250 or F270? I had 3 (250s) in service with 3 spares in the garage. Great work horse for 10+ years, but aging now. My first Netapp was a F720 that I bought for around $35k new, but with F250s/270s all around $250-$800 (fully loaded on ebay, it's hard not to pass them up)...
