ALERT GVSIP Is Dead, was: GVSIP Registration Issues. Asterisk 13.23.0 Seems To Fix The Problem.

Hi all, Recently I've started getting registration rejected messages on my iPBX 13-13.7 running on Scientific Linux 6.9 (i.e. I did the ISO deployment on a VM server). <Registration/ServerURI..............................> <Auth..........> <Status.......>...

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

I know I know - my "why is this happening" comment was more aimed at Google disabling XMPP support - which, honestly, I can't blame them for since it's their product but still - causing a bit of a headache. My asterisk expertise days are from a decade ago when I did hosted call center software...

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

I got outbound calls to work fine without the prefix... but inbound calls are not even routing to my server :\ heck - not even hitting my firewall as far as I can see. Do we have an IP address range that GV uses for obitalk devices?

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

can you share your config (or a sample)? I have a completely vanilla version of everything - default route, one extension... i have uncommented the line per the instructions: same => n,Dial(SIP/701,20,D(:1)) but still - nothing :\ i dont even see calls hitting the server so I think somehow...

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

Got it to work! This is the dial plan that worked for me when removing 48: [from-internal-custom] ;# // BEGIN gvsip outgoing exten => _NXXNXXXXXX,1,Set(CALLERID(dnid)=${CALLERID(dnid)}) exten => _NXXNXXXXXX,n,Set(CALLERID(dnid)=1${CALLERID(dnid)}) exten => _NXXNXXXXXX,n,Goto(1${EXTEN},1) exten...

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

Thanks - I'm not very well versed in raw asterisk config so I'll give it a shot. I guess the more pressing issue is why I am unable to receive inbound calls :(

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

Another thing - it doesn't seem inbound calls work even when un-commenting the line at the bottom of extensions_custom.conf file :( I don't see GV forwarding the calls to me at all (nothing in the asterisk logs)

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

I found an interesting bug? Not sure if it is a bug or not but - if you modify the extensions_custom.conf file to remove the prefix, it does not seem to like that on my end; it doesnt even like it if revert the file back to original... touch and boom! For example - if mine looks like this...

ALERT GV: The Sky Has Fallen... Really

Can someone please hint on how to add a dial plan for international dialing? My previous dialplan simply had 011 - not sure how to integrate that into the customer extension setup... Thanks!

NO JOY Incredible PBX + Google Voice = no inbound audio on outgoing calls

Hi all, All of the sudden, I am unable to hear inbound audio on outbound calls via my GV trunk. Inbound calls work just fine - I have audio everywhere and anywhere; but outbound calls - I can hear my caller, but they cannot hear me. I did notice my pfSense FW decided to block Google (for some...

QUESTION Help with defining unique outbound route per extension

Hi all, I have two google voice (motif) trunks and two extensions. I wish to configure each extension to use a specific google voice trunk. With PIAF3, I used to do that via the CM Extension module (Sangoma module) for which I had a license. Unfortunately I buggered that installation and...

TIPS Google Voice (Motif) Ports/IP Range

Hi all, Could someone shed a light on which ports Google Voice uses with the PBX and, if possible, the IP range used? I have an issue with a pfSense where some incoming fail to connect and outgoing calls have no audio... Thanks!

TIPS Upgraded core to 13.0.51 - PJSIP devices will not register

LOL! Well the good news are that my actual production box is on FreePBX 2.x and is not moving away from that for a very long time* *When we actually have funds to build a new VM. That said - the box in question is my own personal PBX that is also on a VM which I can easily revert -...
