My 3CX upgrade panel is showing I have 15.5.715.6 as the "installed version" I select and download the upgrade to 15.5.1694.0 I get an email that the upgrade completed, but when I log back in, I am still getting the same notice and still on the older version Any ideas?

Sounds like a dns issue. Check your 3cx box and make sure it has valid dns server

yes, port checker passes on port 5060 and is opened

You should not have to have any ports forwarded in this use case. The phones would open the port to your hosted pbx They will be assigned different ports by the pbx as they register

@wardmundy i vote for that ! Incredible pbx could really help with locking down the machine

1. I assume you opened ports in your security group for all appropriate ports in EC2 console? 2. Are you using a VPC ? 3. Have you assigned a static public IP using an Elastic IP? 4. Have you applied the security group to the VPC? 4. What about trying 3CX on debian instead of windows, cheaper...

Are you using a pbx ? That should be the address you part forward to, not your phones. The phones will register with your pbx

There is a very nice Windows client that serves as a soft phone or also an ip phone controller. Is this what you are asking ?

i have it narrowed down to the 5060 port. I get a busy signal until I open port 5060 and forward to the 3cx box I just want to make sure this device is protected though. Any best practices?

ok, one more question what is the recommend way to do iptables then on the debian box I know incrediblepbx has all of that set up. @wardmundy do you have a recommended way to set up iptables on 3cx?
