FOOD FOR THOUGHT Advice on providing VoIP services - Tax implications

Or... avoid all of that garbage, provide the HARDWARE and your support... let them pay their own VoiP provider fees.. rather than you becoming a voip provider. you charge sales tax on the hardware and the support...

    QUESTION 3cx & PCI-E Analog Cards

I've searched through the forums all morning and haven't found an answer, it seems a LOT has changed since I was last here. Does 3cx support cards such as: Sangoma B600E 4 FXO + 1 FXS PCI-E Analog Card for connecting to old analog lines? Back in the day it was a DAHDI trunk on PIAF3...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Need advise on setup

Not disagreeing with either of the above....but here's hardware idears $15 pogo-plug server,$55 beagleboneblack, $35raspberrypi look like ideal candidates :) a little fanless Foxconn perhaps... I don't know the overhead of OpenVPN, but with the Grandstream 2000?(the android based one) I just...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Onsite vs Hosted solution

assuming you aren't using any copper telco lines and it's 100% VoiP .. if your internet goes down you're hosed internal and external(correct me if wrong)... onsite you internal will still work if internet goes down but your network is still up...often the case in my comcast world :(

SUGGESTIONS What is the cheapest but reliable way to hook up 120 analog phones?

they were Toshiba digital/analog mix... luckily for me... there was a network drop everywhere there was a phone(due to the use of computers in the modern era *wink*), but not all workplaces require that I understand.

SUGGESTIONS What is the cheapest but reliable way to hook up 120 analog phones?

personally, this was sorta what catapulted me into PiaF... our old dos-based VM-system on a Toshiba-Strata died... was perfect timing to move to VoiP solution... after setting up PIAF, config'n phones, plugging phones in... all said and done(phones came from various sources, most donated)...

I run all this on a Dell Optiplex 745... with a Sangoma B600 ...4 pots lines for incoming, and gvoice for outgoing about 50 users, haven't tied it into paging system, using a hodge podge of Yealink, grandstream, aastra phones... why do they require old school phones to be connected to the VoiP...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Pricing Question for Gurus

voip_user $100/hr was merely for fast-math's sake, albeit what I charge for my I.T. services(VoiP falls under that now), my main clientel are small non-profits and that's what the market bears ;) here in Portland, OR the avg. cost of small-biz I.T. support is about $125hr., but I work on a...
