I can connect to the machines on the T-Mobile using Chrome Remote Desktop. I assume this is a man in the middle connection, so it is not actually inward, but it works for me.

Like Ward said, it is probably your network card. My first PIAF install was on a old Dell 280. Some programs could talk over the net, others couldn't. I replaced the on board NIC with an Intel card, and I was golden.

The grep command shows you all the places you need to change sendmail-cf to sendmail/cf. Fix that and run sendmailconfig instead of make.

For me it was the network card. I guess you could fool with the driver, but it was easier to try another card. Interesting thing was Apache was happy, but not Freepbx.

Type /root/admin-pw-change or ./admin-pw-change

Reset it with admin-pw-change . It's in the root.

I installed it tonight using the Nerdvittles article. The Kennonsoft menu didn't install. Otherwise looking good. Or does it get installed with the fax software? No fax on my machine.

Installed the Ubuntu version tonight on my Foxconn box. It went smoothly. No need for extra returns. Need to test sendmail in the morning. Baisic stuff is working.

Latest version of Avant Fax is from 2010, many years before FreePBX had signature checking.
