FYI Debian or Rocky going forward?

Hi all, I was just wondering if Debian and Rocky versions of IPBX are going to be developed concurrently? I use some variant of Debian for every other Linux server and desktop I use, and I was glad to see Ward switch after the Centos debacle, and it is nice not to have shift gears when working...

SOLVED One way audio on Internet facing Incredible 2020 -Solved

I guess it took posting in the forums to give myself a swift kick in the pants. Trunk settings were fine, but NAT was set to off in the extension SIP settings. Doh! Thanks!

SOLVED One way audio on Internet facing Incredible 2020 -Solved

Hi everyone, bit of a strange issue here. I recently spun up a Vultr vps and installed IPBX 2020 on it according to the recent Centos 7 NV article. (My first foray into a direct Internet facing PBX) I set up a BulkVS trunk and DID on it, (also according to the recent NV article on BulkVS) and...

QUESTION Park Settings are not being saved.

Thanks randy7376, but still no joy. I have changed that setting in res_parking_custom.conf, so hopefully if I got the syntax right it will work. :)

QUESTION Park Settings are not being saved.

Follow on: Just did a fresh install on the bench with different older (but similar) hardware, and the latest download of Ubuntu server 18.04.2, followed the nerdvittles article to a T, and still get the same result: Settings on the Call Park page pop back to their defaults as soon as the Submit...

QUESTION Park Settings are not being saved.

I am having the same exact problem with 13-13 on Ubuntu 18.04 installed on bare metal. Like the OP, the parking module is the only one I am having trouble with. I'm trying to change 45 seconds to 300.

    RECOMMENDATIONS WinSCP

I use WinSCP when I'm stuck on a Windows box and it does a good job. The only issue I have had (and it's really a Windows issue not WinSCP) is file case. For instance, msg0031.wav and msg0031.WAV are the same file to Windows, but not to Linux. That example actually exists on my server as it...

QUESTION Any experience here with Google Fi ??

I have no experience, but my son uses it. He originally switched so he could get a deal on the Nexus phone, which required you to use fi for some relatively short period to get the deal. The coverage isn't quite as good as he had with the AT&T network through Straighttalk, but he's really liking...

GO HERE Where is XiVO (or Wazo)?

Can't resolve any xivo.io links, can't find any links to wazo. I was going to download the latest version, but it seems to have disappeared.

GO HERE 3CX Free - > Paid. HOW?

I'm not sure how many forum users put in PBX systems for profit, but I would guess it's a pretty good percentage. In the same vein as prattmd2's idea, I was thinking of an OEM version, say for half price, with full functionality, but no manufacturer support. All support falls on to the OEM (that...

TIPS Best SIP Client on Linux Desktop (other than Ekiga)

If open source is required, try linphone. It's in the Ubuntu and Debian repos, so a simple apt-get install linphone will work. I just tested it under Ubuntu 14.04 running under Crouton on my Chromebook and it works fine dialing direct. I have trouble with audio on this box sometimes when running...

TIPS Best SIP Client on Linux Desktop (other than Ekiga)

Have you tried Zoiper? They have a Linux client and also can use IAX as well as SIP.

QUESTION Play audio after caller hangs up for paging system

I was just going to dig into my code snippets to find John's code above, when I saw kenn10 beat me to it. I have used it basically as is, just changing extension numbers to more closely match my system. I used a Grandstream phone set to auto-answer and had a line level audio cable plugged in to...

    SOLVED RingPlus SIP Woes

Well, at least it seems to be systemic, so hopefully it will eventually be fixed. My RingPlus cellular service has worked flawlessly since I signed up, so I can't complain too loudly for a total investment of less than $60, used phone and all :)

    SOLVED RingPlus SIP Woes

I just noticed my Ringplus trunk isn't registered. The CLI is giving me timeout errors every few seconds for that trunk. All other trunks are fine. I'm wondering if it's just me or is this a system wide issue?

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Set up at home, move to office

I keep one of the cheap consumer routers on the bench for this purpose. The "Internet" port is connected to my LAN and the LAN on the router is set to the same settings as the LAN at the ultimate destination. The only thing you need to change at final install time is the SIP NAT settings to...

    SUGGESTIONS Connecting Comcast SIP Trunks

I have one client that uses Cox SIP trunking. It was surprisingly simple to integrate. We have a small flat network, and we carved out a small section of the address space from the DHCP scope for the Cox supplied SBC, our Asterisk server and phones. The phones and server are set to the normal...

TIPS Viva WAZO: A New Beginning

Yup. I had forgotten to set "monitor" to yes in the Lines/General screen (seems there are 2 places where that needs to be set), and I had not put my DID in the "contact" field on the trunk register settings page. Not sure which one fixed it, but it works now :) As usual, PEBKAC error.

TIPS Viva WAZO: A New Beginning

Set this up on CaC per the latest NV article with a GV number registered through simonics.com. Outbound works perfectly, but inbound shows: ERROR[3859][C-00000001]: Ext. s:11 @ from-extern: Dialplan loop detected. Got SIP header To: <sip:[email protected]:5060> (IP sanitized) Any ideas?
