Hello,
I have a fresh Installation of IncrediblePBX on a Raspberry Pi3+...
Asterisk 13.22
FreePBX 13.0
IncrediblePBX 13-13.7
This is not my first installation, but this time I can't get fax (Avantfax + HylaFax as supplied by the scrpt incrediblefax13-raspi.sh
First: the script tells me to accept all default except the area code ... but: it never asks for the are code?
Second: the supplied Webmin Module loads into webmin, and it displays all 4 IAX modems (as idle), but whatever I try to configure, after submitting the changes in the webmin module, it just shows an empty scree, and nothing gets written into the config files.
OK, not a big deal, it's easy enough to edit /etc/hylafax/config.IAX0 etc and restart hylafax.
But there must be something wrong more deeply
sending a fax ALWAYS end with "no local dialtone".
In the ASsterisk consile (verbose = 9), nothing shows up. Not a single character. "iax2 debug on" spits out many lines from my connected IAX softphones, but again not a single line about the fax try.
I can't find any traces in any of the log files in /var/log/asterisk or /var/log/hylafax ....
Incoming faxes do not work either: I do see the incoming call in the asterisk console, but....

So, the key error message seems to be:
Unable to create channel of type 'IAX2' (cause 20 - Subscriber absent)
OK, what have I done wrong?
or, better: what do I have to do to get it going again?
